  • Oh, I have no intentions to join. That's what I meant to say. I find the instant messaging rooms a bit overwhelming. Unless is strictly necessary for moderation, and even then I'd be looking for long-term alternatives (as in, other mods here or whatever)

  • I don't know if any other mods are there. I'm not there. Feel free to send me a DM if you see any spam or needs for moderators. We would do something about it, of course.

  • Not to flame on anyone, and without reading the details on the specific CVE. But, to share as an advice: this reason is why I prefer keepass + syncthing for my needs. Security for a full blown web app is not trivial and has a bigger "attack surface" than a kdbx file moving p2p through my devices via syncthing.

  • Cockpit is a dashboard (and control!) app that can connect to multiple hosts.

  • Neither project allows to set keybindings by a simple json or yaml file? Yet, these are highly customizable editors! That's a surprise.

  • If your dissatisfaction is rooted on your current job, try looking into the market. Maybe it's a good time to jump to another ship.

    As for hobbies, I agreed with everyone. Try activities away from the keyboard, it would probable be the most healthy for both body and mind (and they correlate)

  • This post title is misleading. The developer was working with Snap until Canonical didn't allowed it anymore. He's pissed with the policy enforcement which is strictly speaking commercial and as bad as Apple's afaik...
