  • I'd argue spreading complete bullshit is always harmful. And if scientifically proven a bullshit (and this was not her only horribly wrong claim), she should not be kept in an academic position. If she's not academic and therefore in position of authority, then let her believe whatever she wants - I agree with you on this condition.

  • I do the same, but at times I use Ecosia instead of Qwant. The results are borderline unusable, just like in case of Google - too many commercial links, disrespect for the exact expressions I use or their proximity in text. If something is called similar to a product... So I find these search engines similar to Google, I use them to avoid Google, not to get better results. When image searching, I sometimes go back to Google when I don't get enough results - Google usually finds more.

  • My friend loves this saying: An experience doesn't have to be nice, as long as it's intense. I kind of hate when he says it. But at times of hurting, I remember, and it makes me go all ironic and sarcastic and I become able to find dark humour and absurdity in the situation. And that allows me to appreciate that my life is rich and colourful, even if it's not always positive. It gives me stories to tell.
