You're getting a lot of shit in the comments from people that I think is undeserved, at least based on what you have said so far.
I feel this feeling, too. I have always been one to reach out and organize and I have become tired of feeling like the only person that does that. Provided you aren't actively doing anything wrong, I really feel like these other commenters are missing something.
When people like me, who want to organize, start feeling like no one wants it: what happens?
If you killed someone I’d have to cover up for you even though I don’t condone murder
what?
This is what gets me about the conservative mindset every time. There appears to be no actual moral framework behind it. It is only about them and their wants and desires.
Personally, if someone said this to me I would understand them to be amoral. And an amoral person has no ground to stand on to judge anyone else.
Edit for a clarity reminder: the victim in the hypothetical proposed by the father is someone else's child, another human being who had every right to exist. But to this conservative dad, they're apparently nothing to be concerned about. And that is the problem.
Spend money on servers. Verify your players. I don't care how you do it, but you don't get kernel-level access to my machine because some asshole script kiddies are aimbotting. You can never trust the client. This is basic shit that game devs will make up a whole host of bullshit to try to justify. (FWIW: I spent a solid decade as a professional game dev and I was as disappointed in this horseshit then as I am now. At least players are starting to figure it out now, too.)
I’m in my late 30s now, and my body feels better than in my early 20s, as I had stopped working out during that time. Also ended up getting diagnosed for adhd in my mid 40s and just this year had vyvanse prescribed which has proved a huge help.
How old are you? What is this? I worry I am engaging with an AI here or something.
Correct, I did not watch the video because the first premise the video offered is untrue. I don't mean to poo-poo you sharing Linux stuff, and if this video gets more people onto Linux, great.
But like I said, it is not for those of us who have been here for a very long time screaming about how important it is to control your OS if you want to own your computer.
Sure, just know that this feedback is coming from people who have probably walked the same path and are trying to save you some pain. Best of luck, but I have found people like that are not engaging in good faith.
I understand, and don't have any of those tools to hand.
It sounds like this is not a watch for you.
