  • There's a 24 hour bakery that also makes the most disgusting delicious burgers: https://clarksbakery.co.uk/.

It's a mainstay after the pubs and clubs close and/or when you wake up and need something greasy.

  • I think it's more difficult when certain very old web interfaces using Java used to be so strict on the version. There would be warnings like "You need Java 1.4 build 232, not Java 1.5" etc. I don't think the openjdk builds go back far enough for those (looks like Java 8 from a quick glance).

  • Closed beta :-\

  • Like?

  • Cold beer hasn't been around for that long in the grand scheme of things. When did refrigerators become common, like the 1930's?

  • How noble of you to speak on their behalf.

  • Just to add that Hadrian's Firewall used to exist/does exist, I think. It was located in BT's main POP in Newcastle.

  • Probably when the Ottomans took Constantinople, I think. For all other regions, probably when the legions retreated.

  • Yep. I won't be playing because of this.

  • I think the issue there is the k-ID software asks you to do things like open your mouth, then close your mouth - so you'd need to find stock photos of the same person doing stuff like that. Which, now that I think about it, I imagine there will be an influx of selfies of people with closed and open mouths available on google images very soon.

  • I think it was my old Nokia 6600

  • I'm curious how much of it they consumed though. I read recently the UK keeps on paying Wind farms (for example) to NOT supply the grid as they don't need it at certain times, and it wasn't going into batteries for later either. Just generated and...gone?

  • Reminds me of the old "Are there more doors or wheels in the world?" question

  • To do what?

  • That's really interestng. I assume it's the left photo from above and the right photo from below.

Genuinely an interesting mutation, it's weird that it's listed as happening in Rodents but not other mammals? Is that just a numbers thing I wonder?

  • Terrible title, I thought it was a vulnerability in git.

  • I can't remember specifically, I think it might have just been that the ghost image on the floppy was confirmed to work, and all the desktops were allowed to boot from floppy already and not necessarily via USB.

  • Oh yes, I was using a 3.5" floppy disk drive with a USB connector in 2007 to kick off imaging on desktop machines as no one could get the ghost boot server working.
