  • That's horrifying, wtf happened?

  • DEI was implemented because without it, equally qualified minorities don't get hired, there's been endless studies on this. Stop falling for racist propaganda.

  • Please don't fedpost, recommending someone do an adventurism is how you and the site owner get visits from the feds.

Additionally, adventurism doesn't have that great of a track record for destroying systems; one of the splits between the Bolsheviks and the SRs and other factions was their analysis of the effects of the previous half century of random assassinations of government officials, including the Tsar. Assassinations create a power vacuum, but it's not productive if the bourgeoisie are positioned to fill that power vacuum.

  • If instance A isn't federated with instance B, nobody from instance B sees instance A's content. That is different from a block.

  • Yiffit was never federated with any of them, none of them federate with porn instances.

  • Huh, that sounds pretty bad, let me look that up. Oh wait, it's a total lie.

My personal opinion, for those who are interested, is that these two instances (Hexbear and Lemmygrad) are filled with what we call here nazbols, tankies, or even left-wing fascists.

"It came from the statement made in the thread that hexbear was 'aggressively pro-trans,' which seemed quite disgusting and fetishizing to me. This aligns with the rest of the authoritarian theme of the instance, you might say, having the perspective that one must make a superhuman effort to allow a minority to use a space."

    -jlai.lu admin's vichy ass.

  • I caught a 7 day ban in microblog memes for "whataboutism" after I pointed out that leftists were not responsible for the democrat's loss, their actions would have been wildly unpopular whether we told them or not.

  • The democrats get beat the fuck out every time they run conservative. They plummet in popularity if they get elected and then betray their constituents by doing what the republicans want. Republicans will never elect a republican-lite when the real thing is right there.

Meanwhile left policy polls overwhelmingly well among everyone, especially people who actually might vote democrat, and it's even more popular once people start feeling its effects, as you can observe in any country that has free or near-free healthcare and public housing.

  • The argument that the Butcher of Libya would have run the machinery of empire much more competently than Trump isn't an argument in her favor. I still wouldn't be able to bring myself to vote for Trump for harm reduction, but calling her qualified to hold a position which every holder in modern history has done things we hanged nazis for isn't the argument you think it is.

  • Do you really believe everything in the USSR was dim and depressing? Do you also think everything is Mexico is tinted yellow?

  • What do you think would happen if he started doing things the people able to recall him didn't like?

  • If the person behind you wants to drive faster, just move over and let them.

  • 4 years from now, when democrats are running on building the wall, mass deportations, getting tough on crime, banning trans people from public spaces, and continuing whatever war Trump starts, you will be telling anyone telling the democrats that this is unpopular "shut up, this really is super popular and the democrats really can win by adopting the republican platform from 4 years ago".

  • People knew that these protests would suppress democratic voters

The notion that the reason the genocide was unpopular because of the protestors is absurd. The protesters were responding to an incredibly unpopular thing, not causing it to be incredibly unpopular.

would be unlikely to sway the current administration

The previous administration stopped running and put Kamala in when they saw they had no pathway to victory, so they're capable of making changes when they know they have no alternative. It was only the "vote blue no matter who" crowd who allowed them to live under the delusion they could win while trying to be republicans.

  • I voted PSL, I don't live in a swingstate.

If anti-genocide voters are powerful enough to sway the election, you should listen to us.

Even weeks after October 7th, I had libs demanding I pledge to vote blue whether they stop the genocide or not, even though the election was a year and a half away, instead of standing with us and demanding they stop the wildly unpopular thing they're doing.

I think deep down, you all understood that the democrats will never do what the people want, even if they know it will cost them the election.

  • Protestors made a poor decision

How else were they supposed to get the democrats to stop driving the bus off the cliff?

This was not an unforeseen consequence, everyone with a brain was screaming it from the rooftop, and now here we are.

If it was unforeseen, why do I keep seeing liberals blaming the people who spent 4 years screaming what would happen from the rooftop, while the democrats spent 4 years either trying to be republicans or whining about how powerless they were instead using every measure at their disposal to do what the people whose votes they need are telling them to do?

It took trump all of a day to enact hundreds of life-changing policies. Don't give me some horseshit about how the president of the united states was powerless.

  • Under Reagan, but during the Special Period after the collapse of the USSR, a lot of them were economic refugees.

  • Yes, it was definitely the fault of the people protesting genocide and telling the democrats the things they're doing are incredibly unpopular, stop trying to be republicans, and not the democrats who told us to fuck off.

Really, if nobody protested, genocide would have been super popular and Kamala definitely would have won.

Sure are lot of liberals feeling smug about the most marginalized people in society being harmed these days. Something about scratch a liberal?
