  • Outlook

  • When search results are just links to content related to a topic, the provider isn’t responsible for the accuracy of the content, which is created by others. But they are responsible for their own summaries and other provider-created content.

This is clearly a reasonable line to draw. This is not content created by others. It's your robot. Fix your shit.

Saying "I slapped a disclaimer on my libelous robot that says that it may generate libel" doesn't grant you the right to be libelous.

  • Not sure; probably not.

  • Yeah a spreadsheet looks too much like actual work.

  • Now you can't even find the fucking thing when you need it. Thanks, "UX design".

  • Yep that's basically what they said at my job too.

  • Get bent

  • This has been my experience as well. Designers love to slop it up in them because there's no versioning or any way to tell what something looked like when it was actually developed. It's seemingly impossible to set and maintain scope in them. Figma has some versioning support, but it's probably the worst of all of them from a "which board are you even talking about?" perspective because they have 8000 C&P'd Figma boards all of which contain similar things and the links are 1500 character URLs with a bunch of UUIDs in them.

  • Depends upon who put the board together. Sometimes, they want me to make them all into Jira issues because nobody can track them in the stupid board.

  • Nope dude, I actually know how to type em dashes. It isn't very difficult on lemmy (which is markdown formatted). It's done by three regular dashes in a row: ---. But I can do it on Macbook (opt+shift+dash) as well as on Linux (u+2014). I like em dashes and the bots can take them from my cold, dead hands. In this case, I used the markdown formatting because I was replying on my phone.

  • No, but I get them sent to me by others in my company. Usually someone puts a "board" together that is a bunch of screen captures into some huge, difficult to navigate thing with a bunch of "post it notes" and stuff.

  • Yeah this kinda fits into "CEO said a thing" journalism. Even if he's correct --- and intuitively it seems like he might be --- people should ask for evidence. But our corporate press is useless and/or complicit and almost never asks a follow-up question.

  • capitalist beast

I agree with the sentiment but this phrasing in this era makes it sound like a good thing. May I suggest monster?

  • Explains why they want you to think it's also a person.

  • I missed this one. Was it like Heroku used to be or something?

  • Just wait until the GOP (grand old parrots) learn about this.

    I'll see myself out.

  • They're all fucking pathetic.

  • Yup free models are gonna be the death of these clowns

  • Someone needs to do the needful

    Kindly, please. 🙏
