  • So I’ve realized that Deep Space Nine features the fewest Vulcans of any classic Star Trek series.

And when Vulcans do appear on Deep Space Nine, they are usually maligned (Maquis agents, distant Admirals, opposing baseball teams).

Romulans actually feature more prominently, and there was almost a Romulan series regular (the Romulan adviser who allowed the Defiant to have a cloak). But they ended up becoming cannon-fodder aliens during times of war, even when they allied with the Federation.

I don’t think Sisko hated “green-blooded hobgoblins,” I think the writers did.

  • I giggle when I see every version of this meme, but this one is my favorite because of how you can see the light going out of his eyes.

  • That’s the reason. Dolphins also pick on fish just because it entertains them.

  • You’re suppose to move there from the big city. Or get transferred.

  • Q: “I like this guy, I’m going to make him fight Egyptian gods.”

  • Internet in America has always been a ripoff.

  • I preferred Michael’s.

And just to flaunt my age, TG&Y before that.

  • Why is a man with a goatee playing with a little girl? I don’t remember this boxart.

  • When you’re lonely and this starts looking cute:

  • Now he’s in a really bad mood.

  • ummthatguy using the coathanger scene in American Psycho to represent Q's relationship with Picard

  • “Can you smell what the Rock is ordering on DoorDash?”

  • The illusion of an equitable trial.

  • “A second hairball has hit your pillow.”

  • “Effective immediately.” = Hostile, forceful.

“Effective yesterday.” = Mysterious, invites questions, makes you sound like a time-traveler.

  • Truly the Nagus has a dizzying intellect.

  • Perfectly in character for Zek, too.

  • It’s shocking that Ian McKellen has never been in Star Trek.
