I think their point still stands. People “buy” windows when they need a new computer, so the the rate at which windows is sold probably hasn't changed much. If anything it’s probably slower due to more durable modern hardware like SSDs.
so it seems like they should just “limit” the storage to a reasonable number of TB that is more than most desktops/laptops, and less than NASes with hundreds of TB.
The lawsuit is about this research paper by apple engineers where they say they used the Panda 70M training set. It is a collection of publicly sourced video content and the plaintiffs claim their content is in it.
just goes to show how people overreact to gas prices. they could have bought a <$25k used EV last year and saved $4k with the EV tax rebate. $4k is equivalent to $33/month over 10 years.
