  • Well, looks like I'm migrating my projects this weekend.

  • They want that. I watched an interview with Astra Taylor about "end time fascism" in America (and the world).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2Ap4RN1Cd0The narration (only a bit) is in Dutch, but the interview in English

  • Surprise! Nazis do not only exploit the marginalized, but also find and exploit weaknesses is ordinary people.

  • I'm loving this

  • I had already found ctrl+a that brings me back to the front of the line. It's bit more convenient for my hands than home.

  • Yeah, thats what I was doing, but I was hoping for something more elegant haha

Linux question: I like to browse using ls. Than when I find what I'm looking for, I would like to directly move there with cd without having to retype the path. Is there an elegant solution for that?

  • Lol "can i just convert it to a set".I imagine someone felt really smart for finding that question and you just ruined their day.

  • What helped for me was to talk to people/companies with whom I wasn't applying for a job. I'm looking for a junior swe role (in this market). I've learned a few things from replies I got from actual applications, but I learned most by networking. For example, I went to this agency that only works with seniors, but I had a really great conversation. The guy was interested in me as a developer, but he couldn sell my lack of experienve to his clients. We had a great conversation about software, careerpaths and also about my job hunt. He gave some tips te rewrite my cv and how to stick out during applications. Since that day, I've gotten twice as many callbacks. No job yet, but i've got good prospects.

  • Fair point, but an few emaisl more or less won't make a difference in the subscriptiin that my company is already paying for. The broligarchs won't profit of that. The misinformation is also minimal, since nobody will ever read any of it.

  • But you should add a disclaimer that you will not be held responsible for anything that is said in this communication, because you did not write it or read it

  • Pros: freedom.Cons: surprise visits by your inlaws

  • Yeah sorry, it's not just time and money, but also skill. I'm not the person you choose to convince people to do something. That's why we choose representatives. That's why we vote.

  • Can't you see I'm working right now?!

  • Sadly, I don't have time or money to do that. You know who does? Big tech does!

  • Problem us that there are too few tech literate politicians

  • It is 2028, the last finaly of the WWF. The undertaker is waiting for his opponent. Donald Trump enters the stadium. The crowd boo's. The Benny Hill theme blasts from the speakers.

  • I remember in the beginning of reddit, 80% of memes were reposts from 9gag or canihazcheesebuger, which on their turm reposted from reddit and each other as well. The recycle cycle was very effective.
