  • I'm a Fender guy myself

  • Don't remember the brand or specs either. But I remember it took 5 1/4 inch floppies. That was the first and last time I used that size. Circa 1995

  • What skills do you need to be an embedded dev?

  • The LaTeX SE is also very useful. The official documentation of LaTeX and especially of third party packages, is often hard to read and it's hard to find what you're looking for. You can end up on the documentation on Overleaf, but they don't go I to depth too much.

  • ... by Frank Sinatra.

Dude, you've got the wrong version

  • I think it did 'rm -rf ~/' and crashed. Hence the 'stopped thinking'

  • How else do you science as a toddler?

  • Terraform

  • Saved

  • My daughter (11) wants to watch more anime than what's on Netflix. Are these good for girls that age, you'd guess?

  • I interpret it as "we (men) need no external validation, but it's nice to get". However, I argue that we do need external validation and denying that is toxic masculinity.

  • There are so many good memories. Its hard to choose.

On PC it's Atlantis, by Cryo Games. It was a point and click, like Myst. I liked the story telling.

On snes it's Terranigma. Also because of the story. But the most played game for me was Super Metroid.

A special mention needs to go out to the entire GTA series, because I grew up with them.

  • It's also very advisable to do a basic AED course. Its just a single afternoon, but it's immensely valuable to have at least once practised with how to properly use an AED. Often they also show other techniques, like Rautek (dragging someone semi safely) or how to use the kiss of life (a mouth to mouth ventilation mask)

  • Before Mr Robit, hacking was always portrayed as some action packed race against the clock with fast typing and a lot of meaningless, magic words.

  • I also want to pitch Connect. It has the same kind of look and feel as RIF used to have. Plus the dev is super active and constantly doing updates and listening to user experiences. It's mad in Canada, which might be a plus punt as well.

  • I've never played with FORTRAN, but I've done some linear algebra with matlab. Matlab was interesting for the native handling if matrices. What makes FORTRAN so good at linear algebra?

  • A lot of it is c in a python raincoat
