The Internet has a tendency to amplify these bad behaviors.
It's been said that the fastest way to get an answer to your programming question is to get someone to give you the wrong answer. Everyone jumps to correct that person much faster than they want to just answer a question.
To some degree, you have to expect people to be assholes, and you have to navigate around that. It does really suck though.

It used to be worse. We would have three different instances with bots reposting hackernews. One guy hosted an instance entirely for bot posting from different news feeds.
And so many different projects trying (poorly) to mirror reddit content in obnoxious ways.
On the other hand, the bots reposting old comic strips get plenty of discussion and don't annoy me as much, so not all bots, I guess.
There's a lot of people mixing up info like this. The "pee tape" refers to something from the original Steele dossier that claimed he had Russian prostitutes pee on a bed that Obama had previously slept in.
Not that the details matter all that much, because it may or may not be true, and I don't think it would change anything either way.
If there were others, she surely would have had more support during the time she lost her empathic powers and didn't know how to be a therapist anymore
I tend to judge that episode harshly because of the way she reacted, but that would be very disorienting for anyone to suddenly lose a crucial sense they had
