"I voted for other people to suffer, and now I'm suffering. Is there no fairness in this world?"
Either that, or:
"When Donald Trump mentioned what a fine man Hannibal Lecter is before shuffling around to the YMCA, my brain registered that as him telling me everything that I wanted to hear because I'm a delusional psychopath with no grip on reality that thinks the world revolves around me."
This person says they signed on to the Trump team because of “DEI going too far” and because “woke culture was dividing the country,”
Retranslation: This person says they're on team reality TV star who hires news readers, influencers and family members to high powered positions without any qualifications because "DEI bad". And joined the people who made 'wokeness' an issue to divide everyone with in the first place because they're worried about it dividing people.
The main one that comes to mind isn't a song but a band. I LOVED In Flames. Now it just reminds me of a really shitty time in my life involving heartbreak and the end of my first band.
I think that this is the thing that's starting to really get me about this crowd. The pure unashamed hypocrisy and contradictions, accompanied by zero self reflection or awareness.
"I love freedom of speech and expression! Now shut up and get out of my sight, gay people."
"I care so much about the kids, so I'm supporting politicians that want to marry and fuck them."
"I can't stand these feminazis acting like all men are ok with rape, now excuse me while I listen to the latest sermon from Andrew Tate."
"I'm sick of DEI ruining my precious meritocracy. That's why I'm voting for an ex reality TV star to be my president and why I'll defend him putting a news reader in charge of the military."
I feel like I could actually go on and on and on with more examples of this if I really tried. And I know that we're supposed to be kinder to these people or some shit, so that they don't crap in their nappies and their temper tantrums and vote for even bigger pieces of shit next time. But at this point, tell me, how does one view these people as anything other than cruel, profoundly fucking stupid hypocrites?
Wasn't the ex reality TV star who became president and put a news reader in charge of the military and anti-vaxxer in charge of healthcare, just talking about and glorifying meritocracies the other day? I thought these people were so against DEI because they care that much about having the right person for the job?
Did Trump actually have any concrete plans for the economy or did he just look "unbeatable" because he said "I'll make eggs cheap and great again! Very bigly!" jerks off two dicks
I mean, I guess that's an unbeatable platform if you're a nation of illiterate bigots that swap reason for blind fanaticism.
Yup. Trump and co haven't been sneaky and deceptive. They've been loud and clear this whole time. These voters weren't tricked. They voted for their trans neighbours to be dehumanized and made to suffer. They voted for their wives and mothers and daughters to be controlled and owned. They voted for their workforce to be plucked off the street by masked government grunts and shipped to a maximum security prison in another country for life. Personally, I would never be able to look this fucking scum in the eyes again without my hatred of them being visible.
That's one of the infuriating things about these people. They'll just make up BS that makes Trump seem reasonable. Trump does this English only thing, and now suddenly non-english truck drivers causing accidents is a thing, something that's been a problem all along and thank Jesus he's finally fixing it. Even though this was never actually a real issue that anyone even imagined before today.
I think that says more about his cult than him. I know that I'm not sitting here thinking "oh poor people, if only they could break free from Trump's stunning charisma and dashing good looks." I'm actually sitting here thinking that there's a lot more ignorant, illiterate, inbred, hateful fucking morons on this planet than I previously thought. And even if they all suddenly turn into Democrats, my impression of them as ignorant, illiterate, inbred, hateful fucking morons is never going to change again.
I feel awful for the genuinely good people living there. But to all of the people that either voted for this or sat back and did nothing to prevent this: I genuinely, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart hope that you fucking suffer like never before.
I think that you guys need to get over your fear of introducing another political party, so that the Democrats can be made to fear the consequences of being a bunch of animated fucking corpses that are too busy maintaining the status quo to listen to their voters or show any signs of actual life.
Let me guess, by "freedom of expression" you mean allowing people to be openly racist, homophobic, transphobic and misogynistic completely free of any social consequences for their actions. While gay people, trans people and anyone else that doesn't conform to white christian culture get vilified, victimized and their rights stripped away. What you mean is that you would really like to be able to say the n word on the internet without the mean moderator banning you but you don't really care about freedom of expression in the real world, or things like all of the media being bought up and controlled by a handful of fascist billionaires.
I'm just asking because usually when people make free speech and freedom of expression their personalities, they're solely in it because they want to be able to insult and degrade groups of people without consequences and don't really care about anything else.
Haha yeah I hadn't considered that. I guess there's always the various lines of work that involve doing something in front of the camera, if you're that kind of person for that job (I have actually honestly considered trying something like onlyfans in the past lol, but lurking in certain creator spaces on Reddit definitely dispelled the myth of easy money in that for me, seems like giving a lot of yourself for not a lot of reward unless you're one of the lucky few that blow up in popularity).
