  • From the article

"The government’s indictment, which contains a typo (“Untied States Code”), accuses Tunick of allegedly providing a passcode to border agents that caused the phone to “delete the digital contents,” prior to the device being seized."

"When Tunick provided his passcode and the authorities entered it, “the screen went blank, flashed several times and the phone appeared to restart.” The authorities seized his phone anyway, before telling him that he was free to go and could enter the United States."

  • It depends. If the police suspect the owner has evidence of some sort on the phone, destroying it can lead to a tampering with evidence charge from the police.

A tampering charge doesn't have to be from a court order. If someone eats or dumps out drugs where the police can't collect the physical drug, it will stick.

But in the story's case, it falls within the 100 miles of the US boarder (called a boarder search exception) a warrant, probable cause, or RAS aren't needed here. It's considered a reasonable search so the 4th amendment is limited here.

There is a lot to it and really don't think this is the best format for it here.

  • Not like consumers will buy it anyways.

  • CoMaps is based off OsmAnd.

I tried it but it has a very steep learning curve

  • Hmm suspicous username. Are you a member of the Koga clan?

  • Requiring a fee wont stop anything. Look at old school Rubescape, botters pay monthly for their bot farms on the member's worlds.

  • Not that quite detailed, just s basic OSM ones. I assume you could find a custom map and download that and run it off CoMaps.

It kind of depends on which park you are at. I was at a local zoo and it had every exhibit and animal marked.

  • I really enjoy Voyager. I have it customized so it looks like the monochrome terminals (like in Fallout).

  • May I recommens CoMaps. Offline pro privacy and has trails.

  • That and constant overusage of emdashes.

PreLLM you would rarely see a dash unless it was to connect a cut-off work or combine (like how I just used). Now it's on everything that really should be used with a comma.

  • I wonder if someone can start a lawsuit by stating ID are a direct constitutional violation to view porn, as it's protected speech.

  • Ok? Wasn't the point of the post lol

  • Lmao I still have a love/hate relationship with touch screen keyboards. #LifeLongComputerNerd

  • I meant rabid lol

  • I work with a coworker who is almost 50. She thinks AI is the bee's knees. Believes it 100% of the time (tried arguing with me about vaccines and rabbit animals, which I would say I'm fairly educated about). The other day she told me she uploads all her medical stuff from the doctor (MRI, Xrays, ect) so AI can translate it for her.

I can't wait for the AI boom to explode

  • Get - boys! - we got an AIer - here!

  • Just look for the em dash. Anytime someone says they have been using it before AI is a liar.

Edit:being downvoted by all the AI users

  • 90% polling to approve...who voted because I sure as heck didn't and neither did anyone else on here, piefed, or reddit.

  • Well that was fast
