  • No screen protector, no case, just raw dogging it and it feels so good. Of course, it depends how you treat it. If you handle your phone like a very expensive piece of fine equipment, then it's probably okay. If you treat it like a toy, constantly dropping it, handing it to kids, leaving it laying down wherever... You need to cover that shit up.

  • Our family used to have a Zenith tv.

  • Well crap, I was using windsurf (codeium).

  • It then gave these migrants “notices,” in English only, declaring that they would be deported immediately, without stating that they could contest their deportations in court.

Suddenly the executive order that English is the official language of the United States became a lot more clear in it's purpose.

  • But if they specifically call out Tesla, they get more clickbait engagement, plus it now qualifies as a tech story! Double win!

  • It's been a long time since I saw it, but I remember the Simpsons movie had a part about the NSA listening in on phone calls.

  • Come to think of it, I don't know if I really FEEL empathy. Like, maybe I do, but it's hard to say. In my mind, it simply comes down to this: if something shitty happens to me, I know what it feels like. Likewise, I know that other people would feel the exact same way. So if something shitty happens to another human being, it's not necessarily that I FEEL something for them, so much that I can imagine how I would feel in that same situation.

  • Yeah, I remember being really interested in DVORAK when I was younger. But when it comes down to it, my typing speed is not really something that is holding back my productivity, so there is little benefit to be gained from switching.

  • Most search engines allow you to specify that other nearby airports are ok. For example, kayak has a toggle that can be enabled to include nearby airports.

But if all else fails, just take note of a few of the airports and search for them directly.

  • People want the Democrats to do SOMETHING, ANYTHING. This shows that he's at least willing to stand for something, and that goes a long way.

  • I dunno, all I see on Roku is an image banner on the home screen. I never even look at it.

  • I don't think anyone is going to change their views over an Internet post or conversation. Maybe someone might come around on a particular topic if an argument really resonates with them, but someone changing their entire worldview can take years. But sure, I think it's possible given enough conversation and slight nudging over time, given they aren't being more radicalized by other content every day.

  • Yeah, normal YouTube is totally unwatchable. If you have a Roku device, the Playlet app can let you watch without ads. There are probably methods for other devices too.

  • I think a problem is that many jobs exist in the world, and we don't even know that most of them exist or what they are. If there are any really large companies near you, see if you can get in doing something, anything. Once you are in, you can learn about the different types of jobs in the company and maybe start trying to work towards something that you like better, either within that company or in another company. Also just having co-workers or a boss to discuss these things with can be a big help and open you up to some new possibilities that you didn't know about. But yeah, don't worry about finding your perfect job right away. Having any job will open doors and connections, making it easier to land that perfect job in the future.

  • Because they have only been dropping for the past month.

  • AI often gets painted as people vs businesses, but that's not necessarily what it is in many cases. The EFF is arguing for fair use, which is something that they have stood for as long as I can remember. As the article argues, the businesses creating AIs can easily abide by this law, it's the little guys training things that would be impacted the most.

  • Anyone have a link to the text of the bill?

  • I'm confused, isn't the translation just on phone, not on the earbuds themselves? What does this have to do with the Airpods?

  • I'm not going to download and install an app for every damn restaurant I want to eat at.
