  • Web UI for touch screens is a lot different than keyboard and mouse. I still switch to desktop most of the time because the mobile site will lack critical info, though. They "have" to streamline the experience for mobile, but I hate it when they fully remove features.

  • That's a fair point. I think he turned to the west when he needed leniency at a young age, and then then got more nationalistic as he got older. At the same time, it seems like the plan from the beginning was to retire in China, so it's a weird situation.

  • I'm sorry

  • Needs toads!

  • It says "ccp" but the "c" looks like an "o". I should've capitalized it.

  • I hate that fairly odd parents started as a good show. You ever seen the invader Zim commission?

  • Sorry, I should have capitalized CCP. I didn't even think of that lol

  • I'm guessing that guy from that swords cartoon on Cartoon network that got caught with CP vs. say, the creator of Samurai Jack (even though it's simulated blood/ "oil")

edit: it was the creator of magiswords.

Edit 2: I accidentally said Jackie Chan instead of Samurai Jack and NONE of you corrected me. No more drunk comments. I did really like Jackie Chans' animated adventures, even though it was probably ccp propaganda.

Edit 3: "C C P" not "cop". I should've capitalized it. Didn't realize the "c" looked like an "o". Jackie Chan is a shill for the CCP. Still enjoy the old kungfu movies/ animation and think it's funny he's a porn star that worked in Hong Kong.

"Since 2013, Chan has been a pro-China politician, having served two terms as a delegate to the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, China's political advisory body and, in 2021, expressing his desire to join the Chinese Communist Party."

  • It was more the dicks showing up in class unprompted. Then, it was people sharing links to shock sites. Now we have to worry about people stealing information. That was always a thing, it's just a lot more common now.

Edit: I also have to admit, I remember helping the teacher enough with their computer to get Admin privileges by using their console. It was literally stuff liking helping them make a PowerPoint full-screen. I'd download games and then dispense them through little known shared files on the network (usually old forgotten projects). I'd also save shortcuts to google proxies. In hindsight, that was exactly the kind of thing they're probably trying to stop. I was pirating stuff at a young age. I definitely could've downloaded malware and shared it with the network.

  • I said the opposite of what I meant, my bad. I didn't want to doxx myself and I tripped up.

  • I meant to say late. Are you gen z and getting old aswell? (Not an insult, I'm legit asking)

  • I'm the oldest of Gen z (late 1990s). I have two younger siblings who are also Gen Z. Typing was a skill we learned in middleschool/ elementary. When I was about 8, we learned how to use google because it was considered a great resource to find information. By the time my middle sibling was in similar classes, they moved away from Google due to NSFW search results. When my youngest sibling was in school, they worried about shock sites.

They've slowly been removing computers from the school curriculum because of fear of outside forces. That includes typing, sadly. This is all coming from someone who grew up in a Plato self self education plan. (Online, self studies)

  • Feels like a blunder. Westerners/ Americans generally look left to right (because of the way we read). They also lost the closing statement. The headline seems stupid at first, but I think this is a blunder by the Biden campaign. It's a small one, but this is going to be a close election. Every decision matters.

  • You just lost the game.

  • It depends. They both contract, but if the second pupil is small, it doesn't matter. I have a small one, and it just causes uveitis every once in a while. I went half my life without even noticing it.

You can become sensitive to light, and the irritation can slowly cause blindness. That's pretty much it

One fun thing: if you ever get uveitis, wearing an eye patch won't work. Your eye will still try to dilate with your other eye. Also your pupil/s will stretch like in the pictures.

  • They're called too-smart bulbs, now.

  • Are we getting a repeat of the guy who's wifi didn't work because of a smart bulb?

  • Do you know if they have they shown any interest to moving to lemmy or anywhere else in the Fediverse?
