  • For sure. I do understand how it was used, but it still sounds stupid. Just write, “Bruise appears on Trump’s other hand—speculations rise” or something to that effect.

Edit: I think in a world where people just read the headlines, and with many Americans reading at a low level, that people might take it more literally which I why I don’t like the headline as written.

  • I am commenting just because I take issue with the headline. The bruise did not spread to his other hand. He has a bruise on one hand and a separate bruise on another hand. There’s no spreading because that’s not how a bruise works. It’s not fucking contagious.

  • Cool, so Christmas isn’t a holiday? Then go back to work on this regular ass day, you fucking douchebags.

  • I would love to know the reasoning why they think they are persecuted. I legitimately cannot fathom how, in America, Christianity is persecuted.

  • I use the Leaf, but yeah…same. So many free digital OTA channels.

  • Dude, you’re supposed to see a doctor after just a few hours.

  • Yes, you’re correct if we want to get technical.

However, I have a difficult time believing that most people truly think that using sentence ending punctuation is default passive aggressive. If I wanted to, I could read “great.” and “great” both as passive aggressive. The default takeaway of a response shouldn’t be negative, it’s just an answer using a rule that indicates that I’ve stopped my reply.

A good reader looks for context clues to decipher meaning. In the end, if one is unsure then just ask for clarification. Starting with a default negative view indicates to me that there is something deeper going on with that person.

  • Yes, you are correct. They are people and not things.

  • Nah. It’s not subjective. It’s the result of fucking imbeciles that don’t read.

That was meant to be angry because taking correct punctuation as some sort of slight is stupid as shit.

  • American here. Ever since my son was born, we leave out whiskey. Santa is always appreciative!

  • 🤣 It’s a pretty good episode of Justice League as well. Flash and Lex Luthor’s minds switch bodies.

  • Mmm, maybe. Affects also works as it means to influence. It’s subtle and context matters, but if AI is still changing things with their job then affects is the verb you want. If AI has changed their job and nothing further is happening then effect is the noun you want.

  • Technically, when you speed 1 mile an hour over the limit you have broken the law. It’s also a civil infraction, just like illegal immigration, in America.

I hope you never ever go over. We should send you straight to prison, no trial. You’re guilty, you law breaking fuckwad stain on society!

You’re ok with that scenario, right?

  • This is a great example! Two totally separate shows about weird stuff and then they just do a cross over at a certain point and now they’re linked.

  • Indeed

  • Add me and consider yourself a baker!

  • US Millennial here. I get why we’re upset all the time. All my life I’ve seen some sort of progression that has felt like it was going positive even if it was slow as fuuuuuck. However, in the last 11-12 months I’ve seen all of that raped by a bunch of narcissistic, racist, fuckwads who are only looking for power grabs.

I’ve always known the world is cruel and unfair. So I’ve expected it, but I didn’t expect how fast everything here at home would deteriorate. Especially coming from a family where my Grandpa served in the American army in WW2 and married a German survivor and now my parents are all up in Fox News, OAN, and Facebook propaganda.

  • This is what really infuriates me is that they fuck over anyone who is working to do the right thing within the system that has failed them.
