Just a cat on the internet.

  • Depends on if you believe the eeveelutions are cats, but I suppose so.

  • The Japanese consider them to be good luck too I believe. They apparently do the exact opposite of what others believe, which is warding off evil spirits.

  • You can, but it's a bit complicated.

You have to file the request with your teachers/professors, or with the school itself if you're unsure of who handles administration for the site over there. They're the ones that have the actual power to submit a deletion request for you.

It can be rejected on the basis of your schools policy, or they may simply ignore it. There's other issues that could come up too. Your school might also have some form or specific way for you to request it since according to turnitin they're the ones who control the data.

  • I don't use my phone, but I do use an ereader. Maybe when real books become cheaper or the library becomes more convenient I'll ditch that habit.

  • It's just a big cat.

  • I do this quite often with my void. He loves to stretch himself out and take two thirds of my desk chair. I just deal with it by taking up the remaining space and sharing it with him.

  • It's been threatened before. I just wish it would happen already. Surely there have been enough complaints about this woman at this point.

She fits every piece of criteria for disbarment too, not that we care about half of it of the most time, but it's rare that you have someone who is this awful in every regard.

  • Not particularly.

There was so much to deal with back then. So many different rule sets to follow, so many differences in each community, so many sign-up and on-boarding processes for posting or contributing each.

I miss the internet itself from that time period, and I realize that there is a certain community feel that is missing due to how congregated the current internet is, but I still don't really miss forums specifically all that much.

  • My wife begged to go to family gatherings the first year we were together even though I told her exactly what they were like and insisted I would rather do anything else.

It only took one holiday season for her to understand, and we no longer have to tolerate this.

  • It might be, but it was posted a couple of days ago as well apparently.

  • It's not entirely surprising. This administration has some of the worst representation that I have ever seen.

The vast majority of their victories in the courts have been due to corruption.

  • Nah, there was just an option to get the Professor's rating at the computers based on your progress. It's doesn't really do anything, and the feature gets removed later on.

In later games you'd want to talk with the professor(s) directly for item rewards, and the little screen certificates you get for a full completed dex have always come from the fourth wall breaking gamefreak employees in the game.

  • In the show it already has most of the data, I don't think it's ever elaborated on there either. The pokedex can be used as a trainer id somehow.

In first handful of games it needs to be manually completed. Owning a pokedex is quite rare though so it's not a crowdsourced task. Not entirely sure why it's not. It's made clear that the people with a pokedex at this time are favored by the professors. No connections or fateful encounters, no journey.

During the fifth generation I would say it had changed just based on the atmosphere in the first set of gen 5 games where it's acknowledged that the professor works with parents to enable their children to go on journeys. In the following two games going on a journey really seems to become a rite of passage, compared to the first four where the player character is very fortunate to have the opportunity.

By generation 8 the pokedex is now a public application that can be put on your phone, meaning it's probably crowdsourced at that point.

  • She didn't have to tell people this either. She could have easily kept advertising the project, building up hype for it and lying about how close they were to completing the tool without ever announcing it as completed.

You can lead investors on like that. Unless the fraud is completely exposed many investors will often continue to invest in these projects out of fear of missing out.

  • This is just what I've heard, but apparently 67 comes from a rap song called Doot Doot by Skrilla. The 67 is a reference to the 10-67 police code for a report of death.

Allegedly. I doubt the kids are saying it for any reason though.

  • Thought I was in the boring dystopia community instead. I suppose I'll just continue to hope that this is too impractical to happen or that those responsible aren't competent enough to make it happen.

    1. I'm just tired right now.
  • Yet another reason to despise AI. Animals deserve to be safe too. We've already taken so much from them as it is.
