I don't think there's another idea. I just think it's funny to have the ridiculous concept of the wise old tree in such a fast-paced environment, drawing attention to how incredibly slow it actually is, and how everybody is otherwise not thinking anything weird of a talking tree being the chef.
It does sound like SUSE mainly removed them due to issues specifically with how Deeping was packaged for SUSE. It's likely that there were also issues with Fedora's packaging (if that was also handled by upstream), but not necessarily that they were the same issues, so I get why they wouldn't just blindly copy their decision.
(It also looks like Deepin's working to correct the SUSE-specific issues, which is good to see.)
And then there's Toto, who actually have a million hits, but each of them feels like it must be some band's one-hit wonder, until you find out that it's another Toto song.
I might be a little more informed because I'm Dutch, but Vermeer is fairly well-known, and e.g. The Milkmaid and View of Delft are, I believe, other fairly famous paintings of his (albeit less famous than The Girl with the Pearl Earring).
Vermeer might have been a pupil of Carel Fabritius, who was a pupil of Rembrandt. The interesting thing about Fabritius is that many of his paintings got destroyed in an explosion (that also killed Fabritius), and only about a dozen remain. Which I think is also mind-blowing: this potential important link between two famous painters might very well himself have produced such wonders, but we'll never know.
(If you're ever in the area, I would highly recommend a visit to the Mauritshuis in The Hague. And if you like reading, The Goldfinch (referencing the Fabritius painting) by Donna Tartt is the novel that got me into all this in the first place.)

It's making fun of people getting all worked up about their (extreme) idea of feminists. Usually, they'll also picture these straw feminists as not wearing bras, so presumably they're lurking at the training bra section to prey on young children about to get their first bra.
That's true. If they're not, though, or if they're easy to generate yourself, then you are kinda forced to pay attention though, if you care about the security of your project.
I don't have the expertise or experience to say whether that is true. But GregKH seems to think so, and other prolific projects seem to be coming to the same conclusions.
I get that it's attractive to think that AI isn't capable of it. But it's important that what you believe to be true is, and stays, based on reality rather than on what I wish is true. And it's especially important to be wary of when you really want something to be true.
It's not so much that they're blocking it, as it is that they're not implementing it. In GNOME, as I understand it, the Emoji picker is implemented by the toolkit (GTK). That means that apps that don't (fully) use that toolkit, such as Chrome and Firefox, will need to add the implementation themselves. That is now done for Firefox.
Yes, but that didn't work in Firefox before this change. The whole point of this change is to make that work in Firefox as well. (Likewise, it still doesn't work in Chrome, Chrome-based browsers, and Electron apps.)
