I honestly believe that a lot of higher officials should be hanged for treason. Starting with Trump and working our way down until justice is fully served.
Don't worry I'm sure we can just vote ourselves out of this. I mean the disenfranchisement will be like 10x worse than the 2024 election, with people already in concentration camps.
Everything you have written here, I agree with. I think the self-reliance or even community reliance is what's missing here. That service reliance is a big factor in our learned helplessness.

Well yeah. It takes violence to stop violence, and we've been brain washed in schools with the "Zero Tolerance Policy" that retaliating is worse than being a bully. Kids who defended themselves from aggressors often were either the only ones punished, or punished far worse than the instigator. That's been going on for at least 2-3 decades in said schools.
It has obviously made a bunch of adults too afraid of doing the right thing.
It's why we hold parades instead of protests with the threat of escalation.
If we really wanted to make changes, Republicans and their minions(ICE) would not have homes to live in, or comfortable lives. Same for their enablers.
We would have taken them off the board and held special elections as populace. Still can, and will still need to when we have finally had enough. That or a foreign power will do it for us, but then they get to make the rules instead of "We The People".
Yes, agreed. I was thinking more like a stipend that's been put aside during their years of service. Did a good job? You get the money that was put aside. If not, well it just rolls back into the government's budget for the next worthy politician.
Agreed, I really like such an idea. I think another option of giving them a tip or bonus if they were exceptional would also be nice. A carrot to go with the sticks, so to speak.
Just going to point out that there are only 3000ish billionaires in the world, and about 8b everybody else. Wouldn't even need 1% of the world's population to slay those dragons.
Imagine how much pollution could be reduced, how much wealth could be spread around if we just dedicated ourselves to eliminating the Billionaire class.
Personally I would even say the teams that slay a dragon, deserve a share of the hoard while the rest is redistributed.
A sustained rent/mortgage strike would do a lot more damage and help build up the working class's resources, making future economic strikes actually viable.
