Guess it's just human nature, decorating our prisons, like we dress up knowing our bodies are our prisons too.
I mean you can see the good part in it, IMO, which is human creativity.
Freedom is terrifying, so people prefer being left with few premade choices.I don't think that in itself is always bad, but we should always think of what those choices are, and why.
Like numberplates on cars seems justifiable just because otherwise there would be chaos. Where I grew up every human had a number (and still do), where I live now they don't because of ww2 (rounding up of people was so simple when everyone was in a list), so it's walking on a razor's edge at all time I guess.

As a European it always amazes me that Americans think that a gun will solve their problems. Even after the problem doesn't get solved, however many guns there are. Decade after decade. After decade.
