  • I can walk to a spot, but it's 15 Minutes there and then again back, plus getting dressed, plus waiting for my order. I could order pick-up of course, but at that point I would have to use the same app I can use to get it delivered. Can I spare an hour for dinner? When I'm meeting someone, of course. Several even. But when I just need to eat something, I'm not going to.

  • The problem isn't female leads, it' trash-tier writing. Like introducing a self-conscious stormtrooper and then having him unemotionally kill his mates pretty much immediately. Or introducing a nobody and then make her the child of a somehow™️ returned supervillain. Or having your minor villain and your female lead fall in love and then having them pretty much just revert back to where they were before.   • You can totally manage a fleet of Linux devices. Next to all servers run Linux. How the hell would you do that without appropriate tooling? We use Ansible for example - Which certainly isn't a perfect solution, but a working one.

  • My guess is because that idea became tied to secure boot respectively chassis intrusion quickly, which makes encrypting every last bit unnecessary. There is true FDE baked into SSDs tho - they can store their key in a TPM.

  • You say that, yet Mac and Linux grew quite a bit over the past couple years. It's true, not everyone will drop Windows right after whatever bullshit they announce, but software and platforms are rarely abandonned over night.
