  • Ouchie. OK, I get all that, not gonna argue.

But I'm in a completely different position as a hobbyist, I have completely different criteria.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Prusa for the win yet again. I recently upgraded to MK4, and the thing just keeps. On. Going. Great customer support. They work with 3rd party suppiers instead of against them. Worth every cent.

  • You didn't seem argumentative to me at all. I'm genuinely happy to disagree about something and:

    -just have it be civil

    -no one takes it personally

-we find things we can agree on

  • I definitely agree that less plastic = better in general. But if you're going to 3d print stuff, at least this is functional.

And I'm not here to argue. God it is nice to have a civil discussions on social media.

  • China has also mastered modern slave labor. That someone makes thier own replacement instead of ordering some small uncomplicated part from across the globe isn't crazy, it's self-reliant and smart.

But that's, like, just my opinion man.

  • The stupidest. They are absolutely nutty.

  • I've also never met a squirrel that could talk. Still a funny comic.

  • Good point, that was the beginning of the decline already.

Those speeder bike scenes, though. >chef's kiss< The rest of the film could've been Han Solo throwing up into his helmet and I still would've watched it.

  • Star Wars is just a formulaic fantasy story with a sci-fi coat of paint on it. The original trilogy was groundbreaking because of the special effects, and the story was entertaining enough to not distract from that. The other six films in the main storyline bring nothing new to the table, and are thus boring cashgrabs.

  • Great news!

  • It's not about proving it beyond a doubt, the OP's frustrarion is about how the whole courtroom drama was inaccurate.

The assumtion is this: Legally, Starfleet only allows sapent adults to join its ranks. So a toaster cannot be a starfleet officer, and neither can a dog.

The fact that he is an officer means that in legal terms, Starfleet has already decided that he is a person, and any court that asks this question has a quick and easy answer.

  • Define useful.

Just a rhetorical request, I'm not expecting an answer.

  • Endless sky is a spaceship sim that I started playing recently. It's well done, and there are a bunch of mods available for more story, ships, etc.

  • I worked it out, they have ~6 comments/hour average over the last year. A lemmy legend.

  • It's an amazing tool.

For your comics list, I'd suggest Dataview, quickadd, and templater plugins. With those three you could easily make a database with an entry mask, that automatically sorts the files into folders and sets metadata based on the mask input, and dynamically creates various tables for reference.

Folder notes could be useful too, depending how you want to set it up, and how detailed you want to have your tables.

Whatever you decide on, good luck. :)

  • This program rocks for any sort of organization.

    https://obsidian.md/

Markdown files in folders, with all sorts of plugins for tweaking it to your use case.

But beware, Obsidian is full of rabbit holes. Don't get distracted by shiny plugins that you don't actually need.

  • Another reason to check out eOS. F-Droid is a standard source for the default app store, along with the usual play store apps. I just got a Fairphone 5 last week, an installed eOS. I'm loving it so far.
