I see two issues here: get all that stuff into a stable orbit, which would be a way bigger job than building the ISS, which is one of the most expensive projects ever undertaken. Second, it would have to have massive radiators to get rid of the generated heat.
That was their fact-checking filter. They already know that Trump lies whenever he opens his mouth or types something on "truth" social, so they proactively did not send it.
On the other hand, considering the cost of custom designing this elevator, building and installing it, the choice of hardware in this single place is rather neglectable.
