  • I didn't know HP made 3D printers.

  • Yes, but the donation is not coming from their income. They give 100 bucks away they did not earn and therefore were not actually taxed on. But those 100 bucks are still reducing their income. So, taking your numbers, they pay 30 bucks less without any loss on their actual income.

  • The best i ever had was the one from the "American Cafe" next to the embassy. Sadly, the embassy moved, and the Cafe closed long ago.

Second is the "Lieblingsburger" food truck, a small local chain.

With big Chain Burgers, I prefer Burgerking. Eons ahead of McD.

  • In the end, the corporation gets their tax deduction from your donation.

Or worse, the "Sick Kid in Hospital" is Mitch McConnel.

  • A waygu steak from a teppanjaki grill in a highly rated Japanese restaurant. It was absolutely perfect.

  • Just wait until the school nerd learns to hack them and sends them after the school bully quarterback.

  • Short version: modified MILS plates carry 12V power across the whole layout. Inside those MILS plates is enough space to hide a Raspberry Pi Pico W, which controls lights and motors on this plate. It communicates with the Mosquitto broker to coordinate actions, e.g light effects.

  • Mosquitto is a MQTT broker.

  • Several things. Mosquitto to control an ecosystem of LEGO models, some CALDAV syncer, and a mediawiki engine for D&D worldbuilding.

  • I hope they get reported to the institutes' office that deals with cheating and get expelled.

  • Prosecuted for what, exactly? If push comes to shove, it's a fifth amendment issue.

  • I see this whole LG affair as a good thing. Windows users get shown how fucked up their OS and ecosystem is by this, and LG monitors will drop into the discount zone for users who have Linux and don't have to deal with such shit.

  • Took them long enough.

  • Been there, did that. Wrote shell utilities like that. No linking of Startup.obj, just my code and the linker that turned my .obj into a scatterloadable executable. Run it from the shell, the system provides a default stack and jumps right into the first function.

The whole executable was less than a kilobyte in size. It accessed the system tick timer, used it to seed a RNG, which was actually part of the executable, chose a random quote from a megabyte-sized fortune file, and printed it. Everything clean, all resources closed and returned. It even had error handling.

  • Maybe he should move to Argentina instead. He could find descendants of like-minded people.

  • You forgot the ß.

  • Don't forget Þe letter 'Þ'. It was an essential part of Þe English language, and one Þat actually makes sense.

  • Don't insult a sackful of hammers. At least those can be useful...

  • Keep it out of the hands of children an teenagers. Providing it to anyone of those groups should be punished severely.
