My reaction to both The Dying Gasp and Seat of Sacrifice fights was "Can't I feel good about winning just once?" and then speaking to Seto at the end was full on waterworks.
Most notably, when playing Outer Wilds. I was playing it during the pandemic and had lost two friends, my grandfather and my cat within the span of around 3 months. I was struggling with depression and I got to one specific spot in the game and the revelation caused me to just sit there and cry for like 10 minutes, I was so emotionally shut down at the time that the tears felt like a life preserver. I had to stop playing for a bit, but it definitely helped me process my grief.
I also cried during a couple of quests in FFXIV. The post-Shadowbringers content especially, not because it was sad, just very poignant. And again in the last area of Endwalker, where Masayoshi Soken's incredible composition combined with some very emotional content just got to me (especially the Endwalk, jfc).
I think I cried a bit at the end of Journey just because it was a powerful experience, but I had an amazing partner in that game who stayed with me through the whole thing.
Oh, I also get a pill pocket (which doesn't work on its own) and tear it in half to make a tasty coating for the pill then down the throat it goes. I think most pills are chalky and get stuck in the back of their mouth or at the top of their throat and they cough them back up.
I have never gotten one of these to work. I just shove my finger down their throat. I usually don't get bit, but occasionally I catch my thumb or forefinger on a fang. They gets treats right after and a ton of love, so after a month or so they get excited at medicine time.
The harder you gerrymander the more fragile it gets because you make your super safe seats less safe by spreading them out to increase the disproportional representation. A wave election against your party could end up wiping you out if you aren't careful.
This isn't surprising. The DNC is run by high-dollar consultants who only care about raking in donations. If the Democrats want votes they need policies that support working families. And yeah, Trump is the worst and I would still vote for a Democrat over a fascist, but most Americans never recovered from the 2008 financial crisis and now we are headed into another one. If the Democrats manage to take control in 2028 will they retain the policies that funneled the recovery into the top 1% again?
So when I said earlier that Trump recruited young girls for Epstein's sex trafficking ring, I was just kind of pulling it out of my ass, but statements like this where Trump is trying to get out ahead of reporting that Epstein's victims had prior ties to him suggests that it may actually have been the case.
Ah yes, his name was planted in the files by his political enemies to defame him and then they kept the files secret for years to make the frame-job extra believable. Very credible story, no notes.
In the 90s I had two different doctors tell me they would not see me as long as I was sexually active. Things seem better these days but its part of the reason us older gays are loathe to disclose to our doctors.
