I don't know, I'm just a sqwrl.She/They 🏳️‍⚧️

  • So why are almost 90% of them concerned about immigration?

Because that's the last thing they remember the TV box talking about before they went to the polls.

Seriously. A shitload of people literally do not have concrete political opinions of their own formed from serious rational deliberation. It's just whatever is picked up as they go about their lives.

You get the media talking about the issue with raccoons invading trash cans all over the nation, and then that will be what is on their minds.

  • Six more years until we try to invade Canada and Mexico.

  • 42 here. I don't feel old yet, that's all that matters. I'm still doing the same shit I did in my twenties more or less. Except for needing a bit more caffeine nowadays to get going.

The people 20 years younger than me do seem to be getting weirder and weirder though. I also noticed the old cliques are gone (skaters, emos, 'gangstas', jocks, etc.) and everyone just kinda does their own thing now.

Feature requests, issues, and bugs would probably be better responded to there. We really can't do anything about that. It's open source. There's also always the option of forking.

  • The Democratic party is meant to appeal to people who care about others

That hasn't been true since Clinton and the blue dogs. They became what Republicans used to be over the last 30 years. It has been said many times, but there simply isn't a viable left wing/worker's party in the US. Other countries have labor and social democrat parties for that.

They used to be a hell of a lot more radical. The "new deal" was originally planned to go a hell of a lot further with social policies. We could have had taxpayer-funded healthcare in the 1940s.

  • I have to wonder what is going to happen when the law runs headlong into science here.

They'll double down even harder like the failed war on drugs, despite the damage it's causing. As long as conservatives "feel" like something is the correct solution, it's the right way to go, all evidence, studies, and science be damned.

  • Docker has fully replaced what I used VMware ESXi for. They thought they had more sway than they did.

  • I look forward to seeing the gravy seals put their urban prowess to the test here on the streets of Baltimore.

  • You guillotine it off, obviously.

  • FW:FW:FW:FW:FW:FW

    Grandma's been waiting for you.

  • Adjusts Son'a skin stretcher.

  • Yo ho ho.

  • It doesn't matter if you have 2 Gigabit internet if no one in the world is uploading even half that fast.

Just to point out something, yes, there may not be many services online (except torrents perhaps) that will max out your gigabit connection, but you are looking at it from the perspective of a single user. I'm in a family of four, also with a roommate in the house, and with everyone gaming and streaming and doing their thing, it can easily saturate it. We had to pay extra for no caps though or we'd be toast. They at least did offer that. Dicks.

Anyway the point of a high speed connection is to be able to do many things simultaneously, not really one giant thing by itself.

  • Equalization often feels like oppression to the dominant group that's been favored and catered to in society's history. Like Christians being upset over secular public institutions, or some white Americans thinking they were the victims when Jim Crow laws were overturned.

From a fellow dude...let it go.

  • The people you are probably referring to exist on like, two instances. Everybody always ends up on the ".ml" ones for their first experience and is immediately horrified by the hardcore tankie content. That's because those specific instances are run by actual Marxist-Leninists.
