The police have a pretty low hanging bar to getting banking information and the police often seem to ignore the laws for the privileges of using their badges as leverage over private industry and companies. And they use that banking access to fuck with people that don't like them.
That shit is not "private."
But banks/credit unions/companies would rather sell you twice than tell you that.
It is really a class issue. Elective cosmetic surgery can be tough to get covered under insurance. So it is an economic thing. Millions of people on SNAP with no healthcare while the elite play with aging and off label prescription medication usage.
I don't think people respond to it that way, but I think that there is something there.

Seems that Americans should just go on strike for like ... three days.
Three days of "WhAT's An EcONoMy ?" would get some attention.
Three days of no starbucks. No flight attendants. No UBERS. No amazon deliveries. No teachers. No grocery stores. No gas stations. No "admins". No truck drivers.
Seems like three days of sit down and let them do it themselves would work.
