Former trumpet gang, I just want people to think about the fact that every brass instrumentalist has to empty out a notable amount of spit/moisture from their instrument every once in a while and I hope you're gagging right now because I always do at the thought of it
It may not cause excessive damage but it's certainly a red flag. One of those signs that someone is probably a shitty person, like being rude to wait staff or yelling at nurses that are trying to help them. But hey, it's been proven that you can be a scummy piece of shit and still become president.
You gotta account for the bigots, intellectually challenged, sociopaths, illiterate, old and senile, etc. If you've worked retail, you might even be surprised it's only 37% of people who lack critical thinking or empathy.
I still go to wiki for a more trustworthy source. I gotta question someone's critical thinking if they solely rely on the summaries that are usually mashed up bits of info pulled from multiple sources without context.
I had a "friend" in highschool try to make me feel bad about being uncut. Saying the typical pseudoscience of "you're dirty" "girls don't like it", it was that day that I decided this guy was stupid beyond repair.
I dashed for a bit during the pandemic and I had this one older lady a couple times just order a big gulp from the 7-Eleven a couple minutes away with a $5 tip. She explained to me she ran a business from home and this was essentially a charitable act because she felt blessed in a situation that sucked for most people. Super nice lady.
Also once had an old man in a rich neighbourhood give me a $20 for a pizza that was about 5 minutes away, he said he has more money than he knows what to do with lol.
Also also, delivered some McDonald's late at night probably 1 am or something. This girl in her 20s was sitting out front hitting a bong and asked if I'd take a toke as a tip lol
It was honestly kinda fun to do on the side when I was bored and wanted to feel like I was being productive
Some people have trouble empathizing with situations until it happens to them. Be glad your dad is capable of empathy.
