Probably because Netflix has a habit of often cancelling shows after a season or two. Why should viewers get invested in a shot if there's a good chance they will be cancelled?

An easy way? I guess the term 'easy' depends on your expertise with networking, firewalls, etc. Sounds like you and I are at about the same level there. In which case the answer is: no, there's no easy way from what I can tell. I've looked into it and it's a lot more involved than, say, Plex (because Plex does a bunch of the routing and stuff for you, but at a cost).
I don't know. My cat acts like that but the bowl is pretty shallow but has a good amount of food still in it. I think most of the time it's just cats catting.
But no mention in that article about the various instances ( here, here, here, here, etc ) of companies quietly having to hire back staff they've laid off because AI (or the people that were left at the companies who are using AI + AI consultants) is often doing such a bad job at replacing them.
