Un Dorian Gray sin pasado, ni patria ni bandera.

I'm just a guy in the #pnw who likes going on adventures, and playing games with friends.

Three things I love: the Oxford Comma, irony, and missed opportunities.

  • But only kinda since they report to the DOJ which is controlled by the Executive.

  • 1132418!

  • Maybe it was just the server I tried, but I could never get it to work. Or maybe I configured it wrong 🤷🏼‍♂️

    How's mobile support?

  • How many digits is your id?

  • My problem with irc was not remembering to connect and it not being persistent, so when I did show up it'd be empty unless it just happened to be in the middle of others talking. But I did want to get into it.

  • RFK Jr is only the picture of health to those who want him to be.

Same with Trump when all those people make pictures of him as someone with a 12-pack looking like Arnold.

  • Live every week like it's shark week.

  • $1k in damages is a felony and this needed a grand jury??

  • In the beginning the Universe was created. This had made many people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. – Some Hoopy Frood

  • I only just started dabbling in Bluesky. I like that your username is federated, which meant I'm using Bluesky without a Bluesky account, since I signed up elsewhere first.

It's definitely a lot more popular than Masto, et al, which isn't always a good thing. Sure there's all the famous people, but it makes it harder to find real people to follow. Or at least for me.

I have enjoyed the For You tab though.

  • Trump Administration: "No"

  • Maybe, but originally it was the Senate who passed it sixish years ago and it died in the House.

  • Not saying don't use Lemmy, but check out piefed and mbin, both similar but different platforms to reach this corner of the fediverse. They all interact with each other, and have their own pros/cons. (I'm responding to you from piefed, for e.g.)

Welcome to the fediverse! We have options and don't lock you in, and the karma doesn't matter!

  • If the Dems found a lamp and got three wishes, they'd negotiate down to one wish, and then wish for something they thought the Republicans would want.

  • He stepped down as leader, so that line isn't giving anything away.

  • It's Obama's fault.

  • The greater good!

  • That's one of the many problems with this system. The DNC is a private organisation and they can put forth or hold back any candidate they want regardless of the will of the people (see: Harris or Sanders the first time).

So unless the DNC finally gets out of its own way (it won't) and lets an actual progressive candidate run, they'll do the same thing they always do and pick some Milquetoast "centrist" who will keep the status quo, and an actual progressive will have to run independent or form a new party and then get enough people to vote for them without splitting the vote and causing the Nazis to win by default.

The entrenched powers have no interest in change and don't care what the people actually want.
