I think it was more in reference to the fact that you said one of the things they said was "there's nothing you can do about it", and is asking what an individual can do about it
Just to address one of your points, since you made several: What's wrong with talking about masturbation? It's something most people do and should not be shameful; if anything it should be more normalised.
Not the person you asked, but any need/want. Like, in a post scarcity world there could be a central bank where the robots contribute resources and people request them as needed/desired. No money needed.
