  • Same here. I have KeePass database set to read only by default on my phone. I can override this but it minimizes the risk of conflict and I add new passwords on my desktop most of the time.

  • I started a blog collecting pictures and videos of indifferent cats in amateur porn. Got some traffic and attention, then came offers to pay me for adding advertisement to it. I lost interest quickly and abandoned it, but I still chuckle about them indifferent cats.

  • It's such an impressive film, easily in my Top 10 of all time. The worldbuilding is incredible, everything feels real and grounded in reality.

  • People who joined the protest will feel empowered and less isolated. Some got to know likeminded locals and may start to connect or make plans. They look forward to the next protest.

  • You need to let go of the hate, it makes your life miserable. There is nothing for you at the bottom of this, just paranoia and destruction. Go meet some real people in reality, it helps.

  • As a parent of two I really enjoy talking about this. It's such a complex, nuanced topic. Yeah you sacrifice a lot, sleep, time, sanity, but you kinda unlock a whole new level of your life, in your mind. I wouldn't want to change it back, ever.Just yesterday I read about cultural neoteny. Our society is so safe, that people don't have to mentally mature to full grown adults anymore. No famine, no war, no oppression, no violence to deal with (yet). We can stay teenagers forever, being unable to deal with criticism, lacking resilience, unwilling to take responsibilities, cultivating out sensitivities that then clash with other peoples sensitivity.Again, this is not the place for a long conversations, but I can't help but feel that the constant joke "look at those stupid parents giving up their lifes" may be a part of that. There is some truth to it though. I am a little burned out, I may have dropped some life goals along the way. But then again, what's the purpose of being alive?

  • We will not solve it, it's way too late for that. Still, every 0.01°C additional warming counts. People not born yet will suffer more from everything we don't do now. So, rolling on our backs and giving up is not helping at all. Going vegan is a easy first step to make a difference. Start blowing up pipelines after that. :)

  • Hey, I didn't mean that as an insult to you. It's just a minor annoyance I wanted to share. If it sounded too harsh I'm sorry.

  • Well done, thank you.I'd love text information like this to be copy pasted for a couple of bytes instead of sharing screenshots of text like some filthy boomer.

  • I was fiddeling with my Raspberry Pi 4 but decided to buy a refurbished Dell Wyse Thin Client 5070. It cost like 70€, I put DietPi on it because I love it, plugged an external drive and I'm very happy with the experience.

  • Don't feed the troll

Renewables are going so hard, it's not even a competition anymore

  • It's a very personal decision and I'm glad about every human that's not born on this crowded planet. But collectively not having children feels pretty bleak to me. Are we as a species already giving up, rolling on our backs and wait to go extinct? Come on! There is so much beauty and so much to do in this world. My children are having a great time, they bring joy, purpose and chaos to my life. I love having them around, even though their future scares me. That has always been part of becoming a parent.I feel like some doomer lemmings need to go outside a little more, instead of telling themselves and their screens how awful everything is. Life was brutal a century ago.

  • Synching is incredibly useful, my list of synced folders keeps getting longer, my list of added devices keeps growing. I pray the never drop android support!

  • I again want to recommend DietPi. Installing software like NextCloud from it is as easy as choosing it from a menu and hitting enter.

  • I installed this for less then 20€ and can't live without it anymore. I use a few toilet papers to dry my butt, it's already absolutely clean 90% of the time. My whole family can't go back to just wipe.
