  • So... am I just too American to understand the joke? Because my family watches a LOT of British TV and I swear to God it doesn't matter what the show is but basically half of all dialogue is either a complaint or an insult (which is just a complaint about someone else if you think about it). Like, it there some meta humor I'm not getting? Or is it more of a TV vs Real Life thing?

  • More like Freaky Kitty

  • Probably some random assortment of chemicals and/or piss

  • I love the simple inclusion of "might" in that text. It hints that he thought there was even the smallest possibility of being able to escape an extremely public assault on a politician in a building filled with people, which i just find hilarious

  • Yes and no. I discovered a racoon wandering around my work during the day, turns out he had distemper and eventually animal control came to collect him. I did my best to make his last day comfortable though.

Then there was another time I found a big ol' German shepherd/Labrador mix wandering around my neighborhood. We took him in, tried many times to find his owners (we even got the phone number on file for whoever chipped him but they hung up immediately as soon as we brought it up) but eventually he became ours. Sadly, he was only with us for about a couple weeks before peacefully passing away out of nowhere (on Christmas Eve no less)

  • Jokes aside, I'm sure there is SOME method for how they name what they find; I highly doubt they just use a random number generator. Does anyone here know what that process is?

  • It's almost as if society has fully/mostly shifted to a full-fledged Corporatocracy...

  • Remember, no Russian English

  • Yeah but that's just not fun. I prefer to be corrected rather than snubbed

  • There's a scene in Django Unchained where he's telling his friend/mentor Schultz about his wife Hildi and how 'she ain't no field [worker]'. But ever since they got caught running away, branded, and separated, she's most likely a "pleasure girl" now. The big difference here is that Nicki has full control over her actions (and freedom) yet she chose to put herself there. Hell, she's rich enough to just keep to herself, keep her mouth shut, and happily retire. No one asked her to do this

  • I believe where we differ is the degree. I do still learn new things for fun and whatnot, but if there is ever a time I am NOT doing that (besides work, sleep, or helping society as a whole in some other way), I've been conditioned to feel guilty. Like, if I'm not growing at all times, then I am personally spitting on the graves of all my ancestors

  • It would be pointless otherwise

So we can't just vent about real-world issues? Everything in your post needs to be through the lense of this very specific social media platform?

  • Fiiiine, but I'm gonna complain about it

  • That "growth" is inherently a good thing to do and if you aren't trying to grow as a person everyday then you're not living 'correctly'

  • I'm not a native speaker but I'm pretty sure you're using that esset (ß) incorrectly. The esset is used when you have a pair of esses next to each other, whereas "dreizig" is always spelled with a Z to the best of my knowledge (like sechtzig at the end)

    Also: 132.465

  • The American military does not (and has rarely ever) given a single shit about what the American people want. At best they view themselves as protectors looking over a subservient people they don't like. At worst? Well, innocents end up dead
