He isn't just a talking head; he’s a incredibly prolific author (American) who has spent decades building a reputation on "advocacy journalism"—which is basically reporting with a clear moral or political goal in mind.
Reads like a script to an 80's/90's all American action movie. The unfortunate fall from grace where the murderers the protagonist who disregards bureaucratic procedure, utilizes excessive force, or operates outside the law to achieve their own edgy brand of justice.
