  • I dont know the whole situation and it sounds like your trying. My closest parallel is, my friends that are kinda introverted.

    I have one in my friend group, that thinks the perfect Friday night is air frying chicken and playing Command and Conquer.

    Not that i hate that, but just like any good thing it gets tiresome.

    So i sometimes spend time asking around for fun stuff to do on the cheap.

    A week ago we drove roughly and hour to a OLD, OLD AS SHIT Drive in movie theater. It was $20 for 2 movies and for as many people as you could cram in a car.

    It was honestly really fun, watching horror movies with my friends and just dicking around.

    I was really introverted when i was younger and my friend is pretty introverted.

    My best tip, is to invite somebody they enjoy hanging with something. Then offer them to join, and make it low stress and no schedule.

    Thats how the best times with friends happen.

    My friend really wasn't thrilled about going to the movies, but because another friend was going. They wanted to go

    We dont go out a whole lot because well shits expensive. But every time they get less introverted, because its not "oh im going somewhere with people i dont like talking to people" its more of "i may not like other people that are gonna be there but my friends are gonna be there"

  • This is gonna sound really dumb, but get something to make a negative, like a putty or foam or something. Make a negative of the contour, take the negative and trace it on a piece of paper. Scan the paper with a fax machine or scanner from a printer. Export that as an SVG, import it into fusion. Messure you negatives size and scale the image to the negative. Trace the line of the image in fusion.

    This will get you within throwing range of fitting.

  • As much as i know how much a diamond back nozzle costs. If you print alot of abrasives its worth it, for context. Diamond back nozzles are like $100+ But they use PCD its manmade diamonds. And the most common instrustrial use for PCD is extruding wire.

    Like electrical wire, they use PCD to strip the metal part of the wire for making wire. They easily have 4 months of life in Constant use.

    Which when you factor its copper or aluminum its pretty wild.

    So plastic is going to be 1000x that.

    So a ruby just really is not worth it really its more of a gimmick. Because they cant be manufactured as precise as pcd

  • At times i have felt that my distro was so not worth the flak.

    But the thing that keeps me on it is i write it once and never half to dick with it again.

    NixOS is really powerful, but the learning curve will push you to the edge!

    I currently self host alot of stuff on my server which runs NixOS, theres some services that are as simple as ollama.service = true;

    And others that you spend hours cussing at. But i feel the declarative nature is what makes switching to any other distro feel so unintuitive.

    My linux journey had been,

    Manjaro > ubuntu > arch > fedora > silverblue > opensuse tumbleweed > gentoo > nixos > opensuse tumbleweed > nixos.

    I kept coming back to nix because i wrote what i wanted it to do and it did it that way every time. Its been a godsend for ZFS, although its not super bad to use ZFS on debian just mostly time consuming. The fact i dont half to worry about a update breaking DKMS and making my filesystem not work. I SWEAR SUN IF YOU COULD HAVE JUST DONE THE GPL INSTEAD OF CDL!!!

    I have recently been exploring Guix, purely because of the NixOS drama. But i think nix is my main server OS
