Prodigy was so much better than I had hoped! I was worried they would be pushed to make so family friendly it would lose some of those "moral discussion" questions I love Trek for. Nope.
Well, if hypothetically, I was forced to vote, and thn for only one of these 2 parties only... well, I'm not a rich white guy, I'm not racist, misogynistic, don't believe sharpies change weather... and, I don't want to find out just how close he would be to starting the next Nazi party. That narrows my options down a bit.
Lmao! Moved to Ohio for a bit. Met someone from Michigan, who then totally hated on me for being a Buckeye, was totally baffled at the time. Glad to see it's still going. I've always assumed, sports?
I would hope the "sentience" they show in comparison would have an impact on how they saw it. Would maybe demand some reforms on ownership guidelines and forced breeding mutations ?
I lived there for almost a decade, about a decade and a half ago. It was so run down and dying then. People wouldn't come see us there that we had known all our lives because it was so dangerous. Pizza places wouldn't deliver down our street, we would have to walk to the main corner to get delivery. We paid a crack head to watch our house while we were away for a weekend.
I was in disbelief back when I heard about the factories deciding to build there after we had up and left... finally, after barely scraping enough together from living and working there. I wondered how they would fare but didn't follow up on it then.
I researched and verified everything you said above, and informed some other family on Fb, that was trying to stir the shit. They would hear none of it.
This is really awesome! I saw your post the other day about it and thought it was a great idea. You work quick!
I already found a new community I would not have thought to look for otherwise.
It is hard for me to see and manipulate on mobile, but that's totally on me. So I'll be back in a bit. I'm sure someone smarter than me may have more helpful input than that if you are looking for feedback!
So I thought I was gonna head to bed, but... guess I can stay up and peruse for a little while...
Piping in with some odd history info. They were originally made to give theater patrons something to watch while the main film was re-wound. Theaters used to play the same movie on repeat all day until they got a new film, then it was that movie all day. There were no "move times". If you showed up midway you just stayed until it repeated so you could catch the beginning. Also why news reels and other visual media would get played.
Psycho made the change to set times. Hitchcock did not want anyone to accidentally see the end without starting from the beginning. Shortly after that those movie trailers got bastardized into the ads we now know them as.
