  • So, either the Democrats will need to compromise somewhere to entice Republicans to bend, appeal to the masses to try shaming their oppositional cohorts into action, or something else.

I think that CW is trying to say that the Republicans need to recognize that their own existence in legislation has been called into question. To expand on what they are not discussing, this president is making policy and declaring war. These are the essential functions of our legislative branch.

  • Just make jerky? Don't worry about classifying it.

  • I advise strongly against dropping it. That's only handy if you need to recover data. A shock will most likely reduce the life of the drive. If it doesn't work as expected after my advice, do not put data on it.

My thought is that the USB enclosure may not have enough power up spin up the drive. I have had up purchase separate ac adapters in the past to spin up mechanical drives for exactly this reason.

The easiest test is to just put it inside a machine with standard cabling and power it up. If it works, it's your enclosure. If not, move on. Don't use it.

If it works fine in the system, get a different enclosure. This one should work.

  • Wow! Damn. You PEE.

I still don't see a difference from this and post-loss CAD.

  • Yeah. I'm not sure where they are going with this.

  • Oh, I read it wrong. My apologies.

I thought you were looking for disparaging sayings about know-it-alls who weren't actually as smart as they made themselves out to be, not just disparaging statements about actual intellectuals.

In that case, I only hear people grumble about people thinking they know everything.

  • Are you talking about pseudo-intellectuals?

  • Run it under hot water first. It makes it more pliable.

  • Or Finnish.

  • Oh, the engine on mine was going out and I sold it to buy something else. It has to go when that happens.

My philosophy is that I have to be able to fix it myself.

  • Whoa, I ran a used 5-speed for about a decade and totally douched out on how much I was not paying for my car.

  • It does, and it reads very much like satire. Malus (Malice?) seemed to deliver on a couple projects requested by the YouTuber posted by OP.

  • According to the random BS I threw the there, you should only need an 800W PSU. 900 - 1000 if you have somehow doubled the voltage to your OC'd CPU.

Your PSU is either not keeping up as advertised, your OC is (likely) unstable, of some component (likely your video card) has an issue and is pulling way too much power.

You should probably drop your OC and see if it goes away.

  • I think we would need to consider more than terraforming. Somehow, we would need to add mass to the planet to get out to hold water. That probably means deorbiting the Martian moons as well as heavy planetoids from the asteroid belt.

This would need to be done in a way that does not alter the Martian orbit, but doing this may also permanently destroy the current planetary balance.

My theory is that the planet would need to be reliquified. If glassing it by deorbiting mass onto it doesn't cut it, we would probably need to use solar reflectors to increase the planet's temperature. This also has the possibility of destabilizing the orbit.

Finally, as the planet finally begins cooling, we could lob ice chunks at it until there is sufficient water. At that point, if humans still exist, we could consider forming the planet into a proper habitat.

My thought is that we would have already figured out artificial gravity and left the planet due to falling rocks.

  • Having forced myself to read these back in the day, I can't tell the difference.

  • I was thinking of comics from this time, actually.

  • That's funny. The only reason I had that on my mind is because I accomplished something recently and wanted to play the Blade soundtrack from the blood rave: New Order - Confusion.

  • If we are allowed to take further tangents, then I say it needed more rice.
