Like it or not, Windows is the dominant operating system. And it's not even close. That means when we're having a conversation about designing a User Experience on Linux-based operating systems, that conversation must be bookended by "how do Windows users expect this to work?" And we need to design for that or else everything falls apart.
Yeah the basis of the whole logic is bullshit.
This guy is doing the OS equivalent of the left parties trying to be less on the left, to appeal to the far right. It doesn't work and just ends up with the shit propagating and everyone getting used to it and lowering their standards.
People are HORRIBLE with birds. Even the ones that pretend to love them treat them like trash.
And then there's the fuckers that think that their views of the world matters more than anything else, and will punish masturbation because animals don't feel pleasure so it shouldn't be allowed, will punish them for having gay couples because gay shouldn't exist and especially not in animals (else how can you say your main homophobic argument of "gay is unnatural, only degenerate humans do it"), will starve them for "training" purposes, and don't get me started on the diets, environment safety and cage sizes.
There's a reason why the life expectancy of birds doesn't increase in captivity. People are really, really horrible with birds, and the more I read about people who "care" about birds the worse I feel for their birds.
Yeah, just like people try to prevent forest fires because they feel like it's an environmental problem, and then researchers are suggesting that preventing forest fires completely actually causes them to be worse and more frequent.
Maybe at some point the idea that when an environmental problem arises, you need to completely take control over it, is not such a good idea. And as you said, reintroducing predators that have been exterminated by hunters (whether it was from a government incentive or not doesn't really change who did it) is probably the best solution that we have available, but it's not done because fuckers keep on thinking that mass killing is an alternative solution. If people stopped loving hunters so much, the idea of "culling" or mass murdering a species would not be seen as a possibility, and everyone would shut up about reintroducing predators.
Justifying hunting is never, in no shape or form, helping anything. It just makes things worse for everyone (except the hunters, that are enjoying their lives of murder-hobos)
"Hunters have been destroying the environment for centuries, and now the environment is fucked up, so the solution is more hunting!"
Really a copy paste of the "against mass shootings, we need to give more weapons to people so they can shoot the shooters", an argument that is absurd to everyone outside of the US, and to anyone in the US who has a brain.
I think it's one of the worst things that happened to humanity.
Even if you somehow want to convince yourself that the social and technological damage it causes are not so bad, the environmental impact is just the last nail on the coffin of humanity.
I'm not saying that there is evidence, and I'm not sure what goal post I'm moving.
My whole point was that the way Jesus is depicted by Christianity is as a weird sect leader that was promoting peace and frugality, and that it is ironic considering that the religion itself is quite the opposite.
I wasn't debating the proof of existence of Jesus and to be honest, I don't really care if he ever existed or not (and I would argue that most people don't, because most Christians would absolutely ignore anything that would prove that he didn't exist). My point was just to insist on the fact that Christianity has been for a pretty long time a religion of violence and greed, and that it is ironic.
I mean, the idea that a guy made a weird sect, telling people to throw away all of their money (to who?) and performing tricks to pass them as miracles isn't so absurd. There's been a lot of scammers throughput history, he could have simply been one that happened to have a long lasting effect.
It's far from being the most significant person or whatever, more of a butterfly effect of some dude that wanted to have his own cult.
Isn't that him the romans were describing it, as a cult gathering people fast? That's probably all it was.
I like that you immediately got a downvote, even though the guy is the head of the biggest criminal religious organization in the world, that has been caught multiple times actually corrupting governments and their police to protect priests caught doing that.
Yet people still think that he's an authority of anything other than a mafia, even though the fucker protects criminals and in exchange gets his own country.
I think that on the contrary, accessibility matters quite a lot here, and python is definitely more approachable and versatile here than a lot of other languages.
The opposite also works
