  • Your mom and aunt don't at all get that voting for someone that wants to harm you as much as possibly is extremely different from disagreements on tone or policy foreign and domestic. They at used to an easy world back when politics was largely insignificant to life changes. I'm facing ethnic clensing after Trump's win. This isn't a joke, he's very open that he's going to denaturalize Hispanics, you know, remove their legal status that can take up to 30 years to achieve, and deport them anyway. There's a lot of families being torn apart by this election, my wife is furious with family that voted in favor of ethnicity clensing her spouse and kids, stopping women from having a right to medical treatment in exactly the high risk pregnancies she wouldn't have survived if these laws were in place in that time. It's sickening. They are voting for fascism, racism, sexism, and hate.

    They don't get it, they've never taken politics seriously. And they think nothing will happen to them because they're white women who have never faced abuse they can't get out of. If you need peace from them, do so. Protect yourself, and I hope you live in a blue state.

  • It will destroy the economy, entire sectors of commerce will end, and Trump was trying to shut down all trade from the southern boarder entirely his whole last term, no matter how many times his staff told him billions of dollars in trade cross the boarder every single day. If he dosen't have people in place willing to tell him no. Which he's getting really good at placing yes men everywhere, then he'll probably do that as well, and might do it with flights and trains from the south of the US as well. If that happens and he's dumping billions into depopulating the US by 22mil the US is going see the worst economic disaster in our history by several magnitudes. Maybe enough protesters get organized and strategically block road for long enough to actually slow them down, but with the US military I don't see that happening.

  • The sad part is, first nations folks don't even want to do this, they serve in the armed forces at very high rates, I don't mean it's sad they are very much American, I mean it's sad that they have more respect on average for other Americans than people have respect for them.

I don't think there's a constitutional conflict unfortunately ethnic clensing is very much legal in the US framework, unless Biden spent significant amounts of time hiding legal prohibitions on ethnic clensing all over the place, it's still very legal. It's still legal for the US to forcibly sterilize anyone they can claim a biological flaw against. It's still legal to put people in concentration camps based on race, ethnicity, and national origin going back two generations. No one even cares that the last time Trump was in office ICE was forcing hysterectomies on asylum seekers of all ages with no medical justification.

  • I live in farm country, and yes these guys are constantly voting republican and complaining endlessly about illegals, they buy into this non sense and they genuinely think it some how magically won't effect them, or that white migrant farm workers are going to magically appear.

  • Worked in pricing for a big retailer, it 100% works and retailers don't even like doing it, but it's basically a necessity to get baseline sales. It's WAY easier to have simple even number prices that calculate easily and get percent off sales and clearance prices that make sense. Really the only items you see it on are items competing with other retailers, so kraft mayo that every store has vs. A store brand soda you don't care about volume on. The Mayo you better have $5.99 instead of $6.00 or it looks like you're ripping them off. And even if they sell it got $4.99 it still keeps people thinking it's a complex price difference rather than an even number they can compare more easily.

  • I don't think it's just because they didn't like her, she had a lifetime of intense concentrated hate from the GOP political machine. She stepped down from Secretary of State amid health problems many assumed she would need to retire from, she had a slow leak politically modivated investigation aimed at her, and the lifelong republican head of the FBI decided to do a press conference announcing that they were reopening the investigation due to ''new evidence'' (an exact copy of an email account they already knew was only duplicates that would yield no evidence) which was all reaped from a sex scandal that ended three peoples careers. Further than that Russia had multiple proven spies embedded into the GOP, NRA, and more, and they were targeting Hillary as strongly as they could because destabilizing the US is their main lever to power in their backyard. The odds stacked against Clinton were immense, and the average US voter was still very likely to associate 'Clinton' with 'scandal' from Bill's presidency alone.

  • Deligates DID elect her, and they did so because the party members they represent wanted her to take over, there was 5+ internal polls sent to registered democrats, this didn't SUDDENLY happen, it was weeks of polling and campaigning. A party doesn't need to have a public primary to select a candidate.
