  • I came from Sony Vegas to kdenlive. I am absolutely thrilled to have broken away from Windows and joined the Linux bandwagon but I'm not going to pretend kdenlive is a better video editor. It's the best I've found and good enough for my use case but I miss Sony's UI. I could say the same about GIMP vs Photoshop.

All that said, it's still totally worth the switch and I have zero regrets. I'd rather relearn some things than bend over for the corporations that seek to exploit us.

  • I would highly suggest you and anyone else wanting a keyboard that's actually useful to check out Unexpected Keyboard. You can write code with this thing without it being a nightmare.

  • Is this how neko mermaids are made?

  • Mint also makes setting up dual boot pretty painless. In a few months you may wonder why you still have windows installed taking up space.

  • I actually did not know there are two clipboards. Why/how do they work?

  • Ok, well $145 for a rpi 5 is wild.

  • It's like when they renamed their Remote Desktop app to "The Windows App". Like wtf?

  • SE wasn't as bad at least.

  • Best thing to do is remove google play services if at all possible. Installing microg will solve most issues. This of course means rooting the device. Which is admittedly not an easy task when dealing with head units.

  • There are open source navigation apps. No need for google.

  • As a Mint user, how many months/years shall I wait to see this update?

  • Even in a world without IRL friends, they still had to compete with VRChat. They didn't come even remotely close to that benchmark.

  • StarLink connections still exit on the ground, sometimes in a different state. You could gain access or get denied pron based on where your ground IP ends up.

  • I've got a 12VDC Mini PC as my NAS/Jellyfin server with 6 SSD's and no monitor that idles around 30watts and runs entirely off solar. It ain't fast but it does everything I need it to do and costs zero dollars to run.

  • If this passes I will simply add Wisconsin to my growing list of banned US states from accessing my website. That's assuming it's not already on there.
