  • …and this is the puffy-faced fizzblood. We have learned many interesting things about Terra from these creatures. For instance, while they often cry blood, occasionally their eyes will just, you know, burst. Seems to be pretty random, we think they evolved to burst their eyes to confuse predators

  • Does one loose social ties with a catapult? A trebuchet? Are social ties loosed as one would arrows from a bow? Personally I loosen my ties by pulling down on the knot, away from the neck

  • "'I meant,’ said Iplsore bitterly, ‘what is there in this world that makes living worthwhile?’

    Death thought about it.

‘CATS,’ he said eventually, ‘CATS ARE NICE'"

  • The worst part was how they did it in groups. First they made you take your shirt off for the scoliosis exam. Then you put your shirt back on and drop trou for the penis inspection.

  • The English word "devil", in reference to highly seasoned food, was in use in the 18th century, with the first known print reference appearing in 1786.[2] In the 19th century, the adjective "deviled" came to be used most often with spicy or zesty food, including eggs prepared with mustard, pepper, or other ingredients stuffed in the yolk cavity.[

I have wondered why they were called deviled eggs for a while. Now I have a greater understanding of why some of my WASP and Appalachian family think anything with more than salt and black pepper is "too spicy".

Apparently I'm from the family branch that not only buys Anal Prolapser Hot Sauce from Ace Hardware, but also makes and sells it
