  • I like to get audio books from Libby for the drive to work. I just did a search and there are 2k romance books and 536 science fiction. Now I know from personnel experience that some of these SiFi books are really romance with some futuristic element (I am using my own evaluation of what constitutes a romance novel here, some books may be listed under multiple categories).It gets much worst if you check written books (7k to 980).I don't like romance novels, so read more means buy more books.

  • I took a NRI learn to computer mail order class back in the 80's. You got to build your own computer as part of the class and you had to manually enter the boot sequence in 8 bit binary to write to the eprom (couple hundred instructions). You could then attach a cassette player to the computer and boot into an OS they sent you. An amazing learning experience.

  • Is it all predators or just pursuit and ambush style predators? They are the ones that really need depth perception. There must be a real cost to depth perception, so animals would have to have a need for it, even if they are not predators. Sharks have the lateral line senses, which is a lot better in the water then vision.

  • I wish the libraries Libby app had a 'no romance novels' filter option. It has gotten to the point where I am avoiding female writers just of avoid the inevitable romance trops creeping in.

  • Options for reasonable sized cars is the US have decreased. Mega trucks ans SUVs are what sells, I guess.

    Part of this increase may also be because there are a lot of people out there driving like there are no consequences to their actions. Is it just because I am older, or are there more aggressive speeder out there?
