  • I take the stance that all celebrities are terrible people until proven otherwise.

  • The aristocrats never went away, they just switched Lord to Executive

  • How is the assembly process(assuming you didn't go pre-assembled)?

  • 3DPrinting @lemmy.world

    M1D advanced vs Core One+INDX

  • It's hard for me to articulate, but I'll do my very best.

I'd say my biggest fear is that the power and wealth borrowed from supporters will be used to entrench ambitious, self centered, career politicians into government. Effectively creating no progress, but taking steam out if an important movement.

With no real framework to guarantee that a group will do what they say, and no way to ensure they stay loyal to their supporters interests behind closed doors, I don't think I could ever give any real level of trust.

  • I'm a fan of the DSA for the time, but I'm afraid they have the same structural weakness of all political organizations. I can't bring myself to give then money.

  • What? The "AI first" OS is buggy and insecure? Who could have guessed?

  • Breaking news! The agency effectively controlled by the President agrees with the president!

  • Correlation does not imply causation, even a 100% correlation. So no, I am not saying that being a billionaire makes you a pedophile, or the other way around. But rather than the mindset that lows one to amass that amount of wealth is also an ingredient in amoral behavior, vis-à-vis island-activities.

I'm all for being nuanced when having a detailed nuanced discussion, but internet comments are not a good place for nuanced discussion.

  • I don't think I was suggesting that being a billionaire causes you to be pedophile, or the other way around.

Do all statements that do not forward some sort of effort to reason through things count as backwards?

  • Can you explain why you think it's backwards? It may be hyperbolic and facetious, but I think recent history has shown a statistically significant correlation between the ultra-wealthy and pedophilia.

  • I've always said that the biggest difference between a billionaire on a yatch and a homeless man with a cart of garbage is luck.

  • All billionaires are pedophiles

  • Ender's get a bad rap from the older models, the new stuff is solid, and only invite the tinkering, instead of requiring it like the older ones.

I had mine printing very acceptable parts within about 10 minutes of opening the box, and I haven't had a single problem with it in 2 years that couldn't be solved by clearing a clog or tightening a belt.

  • I love my Ender 3 V3 SE, haven't had any major issues, print quality is incredible once you get a few slicer settings tuned, and you can get it for under $200.

Its not the best at anything, but its pretty good for the price and great for tinkering and learning

  • We sing a very similar song to him almost every day

    Our version goes.

    🎵Spidey-cat, spidey-cat🎵

    🎵does whatever a spidey-cat does🎵

    🎵can he climb up a tree? 🎵

    🎵if course he can, he's a cat🎵

    🎵watch out! Spidey-cat! 🎵

I may start throwing in yours on occasion though, that's pretty good.

  • I'll never say

  • cats @lemmy.world

Spidey is so sleepy, and it is so bright.

  • Nobody is "in charge" even the most powerful people in this world cannot control the flow of history.

Our world is a ship afloat on the ocean of time, and no-one is manning the helm.

  • He ain't got no shoes on he got damned feets!

  • Typically I'll stick with Plasma till they bork it, then switch to GNOME til I get bored and see what's up with Plasma these days. I'll sometimes try some others out, but typically it's those two.
