  • Before I switch to running pifed I noticed that lemmy would still show posts, at least to me as an admin, that where removed elsewhere. It's not a problem unique to federated things, nothing says anything you delete on a central platform is actually gone either, but federated systems are even more impossible to properly remove things from since any given node could store copies.

So yeah, throwaway accounts if you don't want it associated is the way to go.

  • How well would it work if a regular pleb just said they'll do half of what the court ordered?

  • Most anything, using the handyman's secret weapon...

  • I'd rather see it do an Edmund Fitzgerald

  • City of lakes and all, they'll send in the canoe division

  • more aligned with … America Trump First Policies

  • Seems not that long ago that it was a huge deal they where heading to $1T

  • Not that I recall other than if you wanted to use their book sync function. My one gripe has been that it has to use dropbox or their cloud service to auto sync books.

Since I have an email server in house I'd rather hoped to just make an email account for it and send things via calibre that way. But manual copy or downloading via the (rather slow and basic) built in browser works too.

  • Meh, I've typically just heard it as 'I could care less... but not by much' in my head so no need for the pedantic corrections.

  • I have a verse and haven't charged it in probably 2 months. Granted I don't use it heavily, mostly a bit at bedtime, but it seems to sip power pretty well.

  • Pocketbook has been good to me, not bound to any particular format or shop, just reads files and a lot of them are fairly inexpensive.

I would assume they're available in Europe since I believe it's a German company.

  • Don't you dare make me agree with MTG...

  • If he gets his way they will be...

  • Cool, I demand eleventy gazillion dollars from Trump for giving me a headache every fucking day. I declare that the first first vote either way on this post validates it as a legit demand due and payable...

  • So that's a big fuck no for me, gonna need to replace it in the morning. Someone mentioned Tidal on the article, anyone have experience to give it or others a recommendation?

Identical "it's a library, not a radio" style if possible but not run by fools would be ideal. Thanks.

  • If he can manage all them buckles on his outfit I'm sure he could manage most anything.

  • It's don fucking trump, guy has been one of the most self aggrandizing blowhards for as long as I remember hearing the name going back to the 80s.

  • Tile, one on my keys and wallet. They've been useful a couple times but the one big problem is that I only look at the app when I need to find them and they don't send any kind of popup when the battery is dying.

So I recently found that my wallet hadn't checked in for months and the keys one was due for a change very soon when I happened to need it.

  • Here I thought they were already an open book for the asking
