I fuck numbers.

  • Add me to the list, chief.

  • Yeah, I was just trying to prove a point that anything that's a blanket statement saying everyone or no-one does something is invalid, unless it's a physical constraint. (Even those break inside neutron stars and black holes.)

I agree with you that almost everyone is susceptible to propaganda, but to say that no one is immune is simply wrong. Anyway, sorry for being annoying and pedantic, but it was kind of on purpose.

  • That's propaganda.

  • Maybe some are. You may have fallen for some propaganda here.

  • The proper term is (extraordinary) rendition, but I think human trafficking works as well.

  • Sorry, but I use my real name on GitHub.

I can say that it's not a very complex project, and I think that simplicity is probably why people like it.

  • I'm an amateur programmer at best, and the height of my programming "career" was when my friend told me their IT was using my tool internally. It has a few hundred stars on GitHub now, so not too bad. Sad thing is that I have other projects that I actually am passionate about, but they don't get much love.

  • I don't think it'll be ideal. Converting the mirror to z1 would be a big hassle. I don't see any migration path where I can safely lose a disk without losing data. Also, if both of the old drives fail, I lose everything.

In any case, I'm perfectly happy with 8TB for now. It's a doubling of my current capacity, of which I'm only using around 70%. I'll be fine for quite a few years.(Also, won't it be around 12 TB, and not 14.5 TB?)

  • All the reasons that others mentioned, plus it sound cool.

  • I'm just waiting for Forgejo federation to be a thing, and some sort of definitive website for discovering projects. Right now, even though I do have my slefhosted forgejo instance, I still need to keep my code on GitHub, or no-one else will ever know about it.

  • Because he's pretty much that. Idk about the middle eastern part. (Why did you even include that phrase, are you racist? There are dictators in Europe, South America, North America, all parts of Asia, idk how Australia is nowadays.)But he's definitely a dictator.

  • It's like the people complaining about SJWs and cancel culture. Sure, some people are annoying and use these things to harass others, but the vast majority are just normal people who care about certain things. But people on the other side, when they can't provide a good argument against them, start to vilify the people themselves. It's similar to how right wingers cry about decorum when they're more likely to vote for rapists.

I must admit that I had given into this anti-SJW hate at some point in my late teens, but I luckily realized how I was acting like a little bitch, hating on people I don't even know just because they're passionate about equality. The funny thing was, I still believed in their causes, but was pretty much brainwashed into believing that they're hurting the cause by being vocal. It's weird how dumb we often are.

  • No, the tags are in PhotoPrism. I don't let it modify my original images.

  • Damn I wanna switch to Immich, but have a lot of self-tagged photos on PhotoPrism. I haven't been able to find a way to safely transfer all manually applied tags, and edited metadata from PhotoPrism to Immich yet. Maybe I'll just have to bite the bullet and write a script myself.

  • That sounds like a scene from a Roy Anderson movie lol.

  • See, patriarchy hurts men too Edit: My reply was to the now struck out part.

  • Also, his mom has made some great movies.

  • I think they're talking about the unencrypted footage uploaded by Eufy (a subsidiary of Anker) security cameras to their own servers without express permission of the owners.
