  • So Al Jourgeson Jourgensen started out Ministry as a New Wave band (and sometimes claims that he was forced to do less heavy sounds by his managers tho this is disputed) and this is one of their last songs with a New Wave sound. Then Al started developing a heavier more metal-influenced industrial sound inna late 80s early 90s. Last year he started redoing some of his older songs in the heavier style. A couple weeks ago he released a video for the remake of this song, I think someone posted it on !gothindustrial@lemmy.world.

  • Get a friend to do exercises with. Do calisthenics at a friend's house. It's very hard to work out by yourself, but very easy with a buddy.

  • I'd be tempted to argue that it hits what it was aiming for. It's meant to be a cheap raunchy Porky's rip-off, and it succeeds. I suspect Cruise does a good job in it - the year before he did Taps, and the year after he did All the Right Moves.

  • Losin' It is a 1982 comedy film directed by Curtis Hanson, and starring Tom Cruise, Shelley Long, Jackie Earle Haley and John Stockwell. The film follows four teenagers trying to lose their virginity. It was filmed largely in Calexico, California.
