  • I suspect you wouldn't say "you know, that guy threatening to shoot me in the face with a shotgun seems like the right person to protect my face" either, in fairness.

  • They never ask in these stories - would this Trump supporter be continuing that support even after being kicked in the dick? That's the only part I'm interested in, because everything else these supporters talk about in these stories are things everyone with a brain saw coming.

They stand in front of the steam roller in Austin Powers and get squashed - would they do it again? My guess is they would, but I have to guess because no one ever asks!

  • Agreed. I won't complain about a good thing being done. I was just speaking to what I believe the "why" behind it was, given the person I replied to was, facetiously I'm guessing, expressing incredulity that Newsom was doing something that doesn't immediately line his pockets.

  • It's part of Newsom's presidential campaign.

  • And they've been incredibly successful in doing so.

  • Wait, federal agents have to start movement towards identifying themselves? Woke antifa blm trans trying to overthrow democracy once again.

  • I think it was George Carlin that said they want live babies to grow up into dead soldiers.

  • Don't be deliberately obtuse.

  • I agree the damage is permanent, for much the same reason. A huge chunk of the populace thought Trump was a good idea. Then after that unmitigated parade of disasters, thought he was a good idea a second time, and a third. Those people are not going anywhere, and whatever it is that is causing that catastrophic failure of reasoning, or even self interest, isn't either.

  • That explains why you reminded me of it then, hahaha.

  • I remember the door hinge thing from an interview with Eminem. Same interview he showed a notebook he keeps ideas and got told that it looks like notebooks of crazy people.

  • I'll give it a try!

  • I've never had one that could. They've always just spread whatever's on the dishes onto everything that's in there. If the maintenance that might correct that is something a non mechanically inclined person could do, I'd be happy to learn!

  • That has literally never worked for me with any unit I've ever had, but I also rent so maybe the units I've been provided all suck.

  • I have never been a huge fan of the giant machine that is supposedly for cleaning things that, if you load in those things while they actually need cleaned it just makes everything worse.

I understand it sanitizes, which is particularly important in a restaurant setting, but my home isn't a restaurant. What do I need this "washing" device that can't handle anything that isn't already washed for?

  • One fluff!

  • She should get the same treatment she gives dogs. Nothing she says has value.

  • I never had the experience you are describing. The closest I got was when I got a flexiframe that couldn't be adjusted by hand - because that's the whole point of those - and the nose bridge was set such that the edges of the lenses were in a different spot than I was used to. This resulted in the world swirling in a dizzying way when I moved my head because my peripheral vision was adjusting to the difference. That process took about a week, I think.

I have also found that it hurts my eyes to try to wear glasses inconsistently. For me I need to wear them all the time, or not at all. So if you are being inconsistent you may be making it difficult for your eyes to get used to focusing differently.

It might be worth talking with your optometrist though, in case something isn't quite right. (S)he can test the lenses and verify the lenses are right - they could be wrong, and that would be a problem for sure.

  • Hey can you step inside this white van real quick? There are... undiscovered... trees... in there. Definitely nothing nefarious or cat immortality related.
