  • Whaaait, this isn't the full story. Microsoft build a new branch location in Munich. It's obvious that there where some deals to get away from linux. (Maybe). The official story is, that the civil servants wants MS Office back.

    Actually there are new projects to get away from windows in gov at the other side of Germany: "Schleswig-Holstein"

  • Dude, its a selfhosting app. You arent literally download an App from a store and use it. You use it as an docker container on your own server and run it. (Which is nowadays as easy as downloading an app.)

  • Linkwarden. Because it has a good design, tags, is selfhostable, has some nice integrations (browser-plugin, PWA) and saves backups of the bookmark in PDF.

  • As someone who used caddy over years, I can't completely agree.

    Caddy has some downsides (nextcloud needs special setup for example) and not everyone is familiar with writing a Caddyfile. (Json)

    For someone new I would recommend "nginx proxy manager". Easy to install with docker and self explained through GUI.

  • Calling some groups "incel sickos" sounds rude and hateful to me and is best practice for going to be a incel sicko. I don't want to judge, just a friendly warning.

    Against loneliness there are good advices already written. Just an addition: first, be respectful and love to yourself. Second, do the same for others.

    A lot of depressed people think, that other people could repair their hearts, but that's not true. You start by yourself, the rest comes automatic.

  • Searx is dead, next good fork is searxng. As a long year selfhoster, I am sure next evolution is searxngx.
