  • If you deny a party your voice if they oppose your views on fundamental issues, they have to win it back. If you give it to them no matter what, they know they don't have to listen to you.

It is simple logic. But people have been throwing out all matters of logic, like denying Biden to be too senile for another term or saying it is okay to have him just be a puppet, as long as it is not Trump. And big surprise, pushing Biden away from another candidacy turned a sure Trump win into an open race.

Imagine what would happen if the Dems started to listen to the people instead of their AIPAC handlers and stopped the genocide, like the majority of Americans and especially American Jews want. They could win in a landslide. But continuing genocide seems to be more important than stopping Trump.

  • With that the winner will be AIPAC and Netanyahu. People voting third party does not threaten the outcome of one of the established party as a whole, but it threatens the idea that doing what AIPAC wants is always good for a politician and going against it is always bad.

If too many voters decide to go against Democrats now because they are disgusted by the Democrats support for the many heinous atrocities committed by the Netanyahu government, it would force the Democrats to reevaluate that position and force AIPAC influence out, to regain credibility with the people.

  • I mean when Trump was shot at, people here had a quite similar sentiment.

Also all the "violence is not part of american political culture" hurrdurrs of politicians and celebrities afterwards are just completely false. Violence and political violence are an integral part of American culture. I think no other country had as many successful and attempted assassinations of their presidents.

  • I mean i am fully in support of PC gaming and in particular Linux gaming. It is just not as easy to keep upgrading PCs component by component. Eventually there is limits, mostly from the mainboards limits.

  • Within limits though. E.g. If your mainboard only supports old CPUs that is a huge limiting factor and we saw MS messing with older CPUs just not being supported at all by Win 11.

Now i made the switch to Linux myself too and i am very happy, but for people who want to start somewhere, maybe starting with their own linux gaming PC is a bit much for the start.
