  • I believe the US is a white supremacist empire, founded on a settler colonial genocide, which is part of why it now supports another settler colonial genocide.

There will be no change to that in the current political system. It requires a fundamental political change, probably revolution, but certainly the dismantling of the current political parties to change that.

Maybe Trump will speed up the genocide of Palestinians, but the Democrats are equally committed to it, as they have thrown away every chance to end it, while taking every chance to perpetuate it.

  • We demanded for almost a year that the Democrats need to stop supporting genocide. Instead Biden, Harris and the other party elites would rather hand the US to Trump than to stop more Arabs being murdered. Maybe she proves us wrong and actually puts Israel in check. But everything action so far has been the opposite of that.

  • Who is current vice-president?

Her entire campaign was based on the fact that she is the continuation of Biden. Having proper primaries after Biden dropped out was argued against, saying she is already on the ticket. Her team is largely Bidens team. Distancing her from the administration she currently serves in and saying she is the continuation of that doesn't work.

Frankly if she was opposed to genocide the only decent thing would have been to resign from her position in the current administration. You cannot be against genocide while serving a genocidal president.

  • "Hey, i have murdered some 40.000 people, most women and children. Can you send me more weapons?"

"Well sure, here ya go. Need any more troops deployed with it, so no one in the region can try to stop you?"

More clear of an endorsement isn't possible aside from going there personally to murder the women and children herself.

  • Sending weapons to the army committing the genocide is a very clear endorsement of it. Judge politicians by their actions, not by their promises.

And not only was sending those weapons a clear endorsement of the genocide, it is illegal by US law. The whole administration and majority of congress should be under investigation and in jail.

  • Instead the majority of people who oppose genocide have seen how she has continued to pledge her support. They have seen how children, women and men have been blown to shreds and burned alive with weapons the Biden-Harris administration has sent.

This reeks more of a desperate attempt to peddle to voters now that she realizes genocide is indeed a red line for some voters

  • But not if the pressure is mostly coming from the external. Or worse if we look at Egypt, where now an even worse dictator than Mubarak rules, after the Egyptians have elected people the West didn't like, and getting couped quickly.

  • So then why did we get further environmental destruction and more war on terror under Obama? Why was Hillary Clinton, a notorious war hawk set to succeed Obama instead of someone with genuinely progressive positions?

The US has a fascist far right and a far right with gay rights party up for election. And the far right with gay rights party has become more reactionary on issues like immigration and also in many places violently cracked down on peaceful anti-racist protests. It is currently violently cracking down on anti-genocide protests. Maybe there is a chance to reform that party. But this requires a mass uprising against the entrenched party elite. The party elite that has used the fascist far right as a boogeyman threat to not question their power. A threat that they rather accept bringing into power than to provide non-genocide, non-racist, non-exploitative policies.

  • that is quite simple actually.

Butter and skimmed milk also come from the same source. You have a complex mixture of stuff that is differently viscose, so in mixture it all ends up with a certain viscosity. Now you separate it and you get stuff that is almost solid and you get stuff, that is very liquid, or in the case of crude oil you get some gaseous fractions.

  • This is wrong in some many ways. To add to the already mentioned. Ocean water is the largest carbon dioxide buffer by absorbing CO2 to become carbonic acid. As the sulfur acidifies the Ocean, this "competes" with the carbonic acid, increasing the CO2 emissions from the Ocean.

In other words, all geoengineering tropes end up being horseshit.

  • Wasnt there some 17 year old kid that hacked the FBI some decade ago?

Professional IT security is fairly new.

  • The evaporation cools the remaining stuff down. And steam is not visible. What we consider visible "steam" is fine liquid water dropplets suspended in air, as the saturated air cooling down demands for some of the water to become liquid.

So you can be steaming and freezing at the same time.

  • Part of the reason why this is encouraged is a lack of condemnation and sanctions on Israel for its pager terror attack. Instead you had many media outlets praise how "sophisticated" that attack was and many made "beeper jokes" on twitter and co.

The endorsement this terror attack by Israel gained from all parts of the mainstream political spectrum of course results in the American and European fascists endorsing to use it to terrorize their political opponents. if Israeli fascists get praised for terror attacks, ehy shpuldnt western fascists be also praised for it?

After all, many of these opponents parties themselves praised this kind of terror. Note that this is not exclusive to the US. In Germany there also have been dozens of supposed liberal and progressive politicians and journalists cheering on the terror attack and making "beeper jokes" to suggest killing people in Germany in this way too.

  • Chess moves is a great analogy. There is many situations in chess where you might win a figure but move yourself in a loosing position. The best chess players are those that can think the furthest ahead.

The political culture is embracing you to never think past the next election. Dont question the set up you are given. Dont think outside the box. Dont think how not punishing the supposed moral site of politics for genocide might make genocide accepted morals in the long run.

And then if brown people can be genocided in the Middle East, why not in Central America before they flee to the US? And once we are accustomed to that, what about the brown people already living in the US? Sure they speak Spanish instead of Arabic, but there is so awful many of them these days....

That is the longterm outset we see. As climate change will push for migration and refugee seeking beyond anythinf we can fathom these days and as the supposed moral sides of politics in white supremacist countries are embracing "solutions" that used to be of the fringes of the far right, we are descending into white supreme fascism.

  • For Boeing it is absolutely known to be malice. They don't "fail" to hold the engineers accountable. They push out the engineers that want to follow safety protocols and it is well documented.

  • No! Not this Linux. My Linux is better because i can install the squabblesquanks myself and the doodledot UX is just more like in Hatted-Archer-Buntu 2.374. that one was the best OS ever made, but they messed it up with release 2.4

    I use Linux btw.

  • Allowing everyone behind the counter serving food to unknowing customers sounds like a massive health code violation.

  • While often better than in the US, you shouldn't overestimate the state of democracy in other countries.

A lot of the far right parties in Europe are successfully copying the polarization tactics from the US.
